“beautiful setting in undiscovered part of Tuscany”

nice small hotel, good restaurant with local specialities, hot tube free of charge, kind & very helpful staff, small village in walking distance, fantastic view; good possibilities for trekking, beautiful countryside, lots of chestnut trees, one of the few well heated hotel during our tour in october; romantic fire place in the lobby; ideal for travellers who want to be far from the crowds

Area recommendations

Visit the tipical unknown villages of the area. No shops for tourists, but lots of medieval atmosphere !

When to go

October was nice and colourful, but we will come back in June, when it is warm enough for the swimmingpool and not too hot for sightseeing.

Getting around

Rent a car, if you want to tour around. But we met at the Prategiano also people, who went there for horseback riding and were happy without car. They went to Siena by public bus and told that it was easy.
