"Best boutique hotel in ages. I'll be back for sure"
It began with an attentive and cheerful staff. Nils and Loïc at the front desk were kind and efficient, and the breakfast crew was brightly happy, even at 7:00 a.m. We needed brisk access to a great Metro line, and Aiglon offers just that. The 6 line connects you with the RER B, Denfert-Rochereau (connecting south the Orly and north to CDG) is one stop away, and Montparnasse-Bienvenue, a major terminal, is two stops in the other direction. Montparnasse Cemetery is across the street, and a short walk takes you to the Luxembourg gardens. So you are in a marvelous location without having to be throttled by tourists. The rooms were compact, but we are in Paris, after all, and I've stayed in the Crillon, where the rooms were just as small but twice the price. These were clean and comfortable (we booked the family suite) and the bedding was crisp 300 count Egyptian cotton. Extra pillows, good duvets and blankets. Liked the Nuxe Miel bath soaps, and even the fold out sofa had a good quality mattress. For overlooking Blvd Raspail, it was still quiet; I didn't need earplugs to sleep. The only element that was perhaps less than optimal was the breakfast, which needed a more copious selection for my taste, but it was adequate and the service impeccable. The neighboring doors, when shutting, were loud, too. Thank you for giving us a top option for our future trips to our favorite city.
