For amenity and services: I think this is the best of what you can get, or you have to go to some higher-ranked ones.
For location: 5 minutes walk from Metro station with a street full of fine restaurants (incl. some listed on your travel guide book). 10 minutes walk from a SNCF main station with access to Versailles and Rennes.
Overall: I will stay here if I go to Paris again with similar budget.

The location is good and feels safe during night. It's 3 min walking to metro station. There are also many boutiques nearby, including Japanese and Chinese restaurants. The reception will keep your key to room when you are out. It was amazing that they always give me the right one every time, lol. It means they remember which guest is in which room. I was impressed with it. By the way, the key decoration is nice. The room is clean but a bit tiny.

We arrived in Paris on time and made a leisurely journey to the hotel. On our arrival we were greeted by door and baggage staff who were falling over themselves to help. The reception staff were well versed in both English and French alike and check in was a breeze. We had a very pleasant surprise to find we had been upgraded free of charge to a much larger double suite which should have cost many times the amount we paid. The facilities were excellent and all in all we had a very pleasant stop. The hotel was situated in the Montparnasse region of Paris, only a few minutes walk from the nearest Metro station. We did not eat in the hotel and therefore we can't comment on the restaurant within, however there were several brasseries located within a few metres of the hotel doors serving food from breakfast till late in the evening. This was a good base for us to enjoy the sights of Paris and both the room and surrounding district were quiet, offering a much needed restful nights sleep. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and indeed if we were to stay in Paris again we would consider this hotel before any other.

South of the Latin Quarter, this residential and commercial district contains the evocative cafés and brasseries of the Lost Generation near Place Vavin and Montparnasse Cemetery. Attractions include the Catacombs, Parc Montsouris, the Cité Universitaire and a clutch of little art museums. The discount fashion stores of Rue d’Alésia and Vanves flea market attract bargain-hunters. There are good bus and train links to Orly Airport.
