It's a very good place and a good location a few minutes away from downtown. Nice walk. However, I would have appreciated a safety box to keep my valuables in the room.

Staff were very helpful and the back garden was a gem! We were fortunate we were there on a Saturday as the local market was within 50 feet of the hotel. A great experience

Pros: Peaceful, comfortable, and friendly staff.
Location: Location is excellent to walk to the city museums, tourist attractions, and historical sites, shopping, and restaurants.
Cozy hotel, beautiful garden area to rest and have excellent breakfast. Therapeutic sleep: no noise at all at night. Helpful staff.

Weird "design hotel" with odd, confusing features; bugs in the room; not close to the center of town; overpriced breakfast and just about everything else. Montpellier is a wonderful town, and there are so many other places to stay.

Enjoyed this hotel stay very much. We booked and stayed in a fairly luxurious and roomy triple. Everything spotless and very friendly reception with detailed explanations of the must see sites and their locations. Very accommodating hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a fabulous hotel in a great city. The room we had was quite small but beautifully appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was top quality - it even had flowers and Fragonnard toiletries! The breakfast is not cheap but delicious. a huge plate of fresh fruit and an enormous selection of pastries all is a gorgeous tropical garden. If you want laid back, good location and a touch of romance this is hotel to choose.

Hotel des Arceaux in Montpellier, France-charmingPosted Sep 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
We have to agree with the previous reviewer who said he couldn't believe this jewell of an hotel was only 2 star. The people on reception were friendly, helpful; and kind. The room was attractively decorated, well appointed with a well-stocked fridge. Parking was not a problem; we found a bay immediately outside the front door after the market had finished, though initially, we had parked in the large parking under the aquaduct to which this hotel's name refers. They have a charming garden where you can take brunch till noon and snacks are available all day. I particularly liked the way they described the room as our home for the duration of our stay, which was sadly, only one night.
