The staff here is top-notch. Linda, Michael, Emma, Tirat -- all extremely helpful, knowledgeable as to transportation and restaurants and nearby sights. I booked a room with a small balcony and a sea view -- very worth the bit extra to watch the sunrise and sunset every day. Hotel is less than a five minute walk from the beach and excellent cafes, a green grocer, with a bus stop very near the door. Number 3 bus takes you all around Sète for one euro. In a relatively quiet area away from the busy canals and traffic.
Clean room and building, elevator, very good breakfast. Private parking.
Rooftop and ground floor bar were closed and hotel was being renovated, but it was a delightful experience none the less.
The only negative I can think of was the referred taxi driver - Pascal, a rude older man in a white Mercedes. Hotel concierge assured me he accepted credit cards (I was going to catch a train back to Paris, nearly out of Euro and without an ATM card), but when we arrived at the Gare, he yelled at me, slammed doors, and insisted on cash. Don't use this guy.
