Very good hotel in city centre. Excellent customer service.Reception staff helpful and kind. Room quiet and air conditioning really efficient. Free afternoon tea much appreciated and the cakes delicious. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family and hope to stay there again. Thank you Hotel Royal for an enjoyable short stay.☺

I loved my room overlooking the esplanade. The staff could not be more supportive and kind. It was not a far walk to everything.

Nice and small hotel very close to the centre of town, so very convenient. Rooms of a good size and so bathrooms with powerful showers. Recently refurbished, so all looks good. Would highly recommend.

Ideal location in the center of Montpellier. Nice and busy areas with easy access to public transport, restaurants, bars and museums. Great staff! very helpful, pleasant and available at all hours. Rooms are well kept and insulated from the noise of this vibrant area.

Best value for money
Spacious room in an excellent location in an iconic building. There is everything you may need, nothing more, nothing less. Breakfast is nice. Overall, a very good value for the money.

The hotel is steps away from the Comedie Square and the old town, the tram stops and train station, many restaurants around and a supermarket as well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and decided to stay again when visiting Montpellier. It is very conveniently located near the railway station, the centre of Montpellier and 2 tram lines. Reception is open 24/7 and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Room was beautifully clean. Extremely good value for money.

Great hotel
Great hotel steps from the train station and Place du Comedie. This is my third stay at this hotel and the staff are always very friendly. Always happy to stay here.

Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Location is very central and easy to get to and from main areas. Beds were very firm. Room was clean but a little run down but what I expected for the price. No problems.

We stayed at this hotel to go to the Canada v Cameroon game of the World Cup. The staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful. The rooms were nothing special, but for what we paid and needed, it was perfectly adequate. I would stay here again if returning to Montpellier.

The Bathrooms was old and the bath tub had rust all over, the shower was cold and it was hand held , no shower curtains, I was v disappointed ,room had Ac. It did not work so room was hot , The staff were nice but I was v disappointed with hotel!

One of the big problems is. that you can not drive up to the hotel since the streets near by are close for vehicular traffic. You need to park at the train station and then walk 3 blocks to the hotel. The hotel is old but it is clean and well maintain. The location is ideal since its the old area of Montpelier. The front desk people are very nice and breakfast is good within the hotel.

Good hotel 3 minutes walk from the train station
Room was well appointed and decorated, clean and quiet. Good size bathroom recently renovated, very large double bed. Other areas of the hotel look tired and worn but our room was fine . Reception staff helpful and friendly but please review arrangements for room keys.
