Wonderful staff, very charming hotelPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: staff, location
Cons: Better choice oc cheese in the breakfast buffet :)
Easy walking distance to the old town of Montpellier, this hotel is a very friendly, clean and nice place to stay. Very personal service, can't over-emphasize how nice the staff were. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent hotel, excellent staffPosted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the quiet area but high quality experience in the hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The breakfasts were really good.
Location: Nearby shops for snacks, a pharmacy and 5 min walk to the nearest tram stop meant the old town with restaurants and all the sights were handy.
Hotel located in a quiet area but with easy access to Montpellier city centre. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was well presented and tasty and we were able to eat in the garden each morning. We were invited to help ourselves to fruit from the apricot tree growing in the garden. The reception staff could not have been more helpful when we faced a serious medical emergency and they individually went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Also, the reception staff helped us reorganise our transport to the airport when the trains were on strike.

Good value, simple accommodation, out of centerPosted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Easy parking, quiet
Cons: More comfortable beds
Location: Quiet residential area; lots of great restaurants within 10 min walk.
Ulysse is in a residential neighborhood, so the pros are: quiet, easy to park, very reasonable room price, warm welcome. The cons are: a long walk or tram ride everywhere, not much in atmosphere, so-so breakfast for E12.50 and no alternatives in the area. But, we made Montpellier our base for exploring the area, and Ulysse fit the bill just fine.

Good bargainPosted Apr 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Newly remodeled. Rooms were clean but small--as are many European rooms in this price range. Breakfast available at an extra charge (go down the street a block to the neighborhood patisserie).

Location: An easy walk to the old town and the Place de la Comedie, very conveniently situated in a quiet area
A really welcoming hotel. The staff gave us so much useful advice on what to visit and see in the town and provided a plan of the town in English. The room was comfortable and quiet

Excellent!Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: It is very individual.
This was a visit to Montpellier for a conference - the hotel can make or break a trip. In this case it was ideal - within walking distance of the conference venue. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, providing maps and directions as well as recommendations for restaurants. A very enjoyable stay.

Convenient locationPosted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Its quiet but good location
Cons: Double rooms for two people not three
Location: Handy for old Montpellier
In a quiet (so a good nights sleep) but convenient corner of town. Arrival at reception good. The room, however, was very small, although a lot was packed in to a small space. Too much in fact, i.e. an extra bed that was unnecessary for a double room but only one chair.

Located in a quiet part of town about a five minute walk to the center of Montpellier. This is a very nice small hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
