“Overnighter for Airport”

Met at front desk by trendy clerk. Room was very clean and comfortable. Trendy decor'. A/C didn't work, called desk who gave instructions on how to make it work. Still didn't work. Offered to move us across hall to another room. This room had a door for the adjoining room which allowed my wife to hear a baby cry during the night. The first room didn't have that door and we probably wouldn't have been bothered. Nice, pull down room darkening, and I do mean darkening, shades. Large shower with shampoo and shower gel dispensers. In-room safe, coffee, hot tea, bottled water, all included in the price of the room. Great bed. No dining facilities on-campus. Snacks available. Sheraton across driveway has good food at reasonable prices. Next to Trudeau Airport. Lots of road construction around airport. Free shuttle to airport/car rental every 15 minutes. The only thing I didn't care for in the room was that one of the shower walls is frosted glass that allows light into the sleeping room if your roommate has to get up during the darkness and turn on the light in the bathroom.

“Great place to stay when in Montreal, especially by the airport”

This hotel was immaculate from the beginning, from being greeted by their incredible stay, to a room that was perfect, clean and fresh. I loved that the entire hotel was smoke free.

“Impressed with Aloft”

The Aloft is a very nice and comfortable boutique hotel. The young desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and accommodating. The wireless Internet was excellent. The bathroom and shower were one of the best we have experienced. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel room area was very quiet.

“Very nice hotel, not easy to get to”

The hotel is clean, stylish and the service was great. Internet is free and the bandwidth reasonable. The hotel is right by the airport. The only drawback is that the roads around the airport are more convoluted than usual around an airport. To get to the hotel, one has to circle two roundabouts, being careful to be in the proper lanes so that one is not funneled either to Dorval Av or Autoroute 20.

“Trendy Hotel right at Montral airport”

Aloft reminds me of a lower cost W crossed with IKEA. Cute and trendy, and very convenient. But it is not yet on GIS so it was hard to find. Since it is at the airport, there is of course plane noise. No restaurants nearby, but various restaurants will deliver.

“Chic Hotel”

We stayed at the Aloft for 2 nights and found the hotel to be modern and very nice. The rooms had very nice flat screen televisions. THe exercise room and pool were excellent. If we are ever in Montreal again we would stay here again.

“Great Hotel...and they allow dogs!”

We loved the Aloft Hotel. Staff was accommodating. The Decor was lively. The rooms were not typical hotel rooms. The room didn't have dressers or closet. Only curtained cubby area. I want my bedroom to look like this room. It had a 42" flat screen TV, soft lighting, uncluttered, down comforters, refridgerator, Bliss body gel and shampoo, and GREAT coffee in the room. Even the decaf was good. We always travel with our dog. He is a well behaved 80 lb. boxer/mix. He was allowed in the lobby, bar, and elevator. It was nice not getting a dumpy room near the back door and having to use the side entrance. I wish there were more Aloft hotels.

Traveler's tip

Visit Lachine. It is a wonderful strip park along the lake. Museums and great places to eat. Cross the bridge and visit indian tribal land and the Shrine of Lilly of the Turtles.

“Not impressed”

We stayed six nights while visiting family. The hotel ran out of English newspaper most days. They also ran out of regular coffee for the in-room coffee maker most days and only had decaf available. The room did not have much closet space (only about one foot deep with a handful of hangers) and no drawers for anything. We also were charged $10 per day for parking. It is a new and trendy hotel, but not practical at all.

“New modern Hotel, convenient to the airport. European style decor.”

Very nice hotel. We needed an hotel close to the Airport as our flight was leaving early. Worked out fine. Limited dining service although there is another hotel within a very short walking distance.

“Clean, new, trendy and minimal”

Hotel is definitely trendy and very new. Very happy with the accommodations, but we were only there one night. For a longer stay it might have gotten frustrating (no food options, no ice maker), but there was a big nice TV and free internet. I'd definitely stay there for short stays again.
