Nice hotel in Old Montreal

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Location and front desk staff
Location: Jacques Cartier square, Notre Dame Basilica, Hotel de ville, Bonsecours Marche and Old Port are all in walking distance.
My friend and I stayed here in May 2015 and really enjoyed our time. Beautiful views from the rooms as well as the terrace. The front desk staff were very helpful in restaurant suggestions, tourist info etc. The hotels is located right in the middle of Old Montreal close to all the tourist attractions. You can walk to Jacques Cartier square, Notre Dame Basilica, Hotel de ville, Bonsecours Marche etc. The Old port is right across from the hotel as well. We had multiple breakfasts and a dinner at Cafe Gaspar. Nice food and ambience.

Pros: The history, the charm and the outstanding customer service. Also, we Loved the shower.
Cons: Reminding guests after 10:00 PM to wear soft shoes on the wooden floors.
Location: Fantastic!!!!!! Endless opportunities to learn about this great city, to have fun, and eat well. A great city for walking.
The three days we had in your beautiful city was not enough. We explored the historic sites as well as the modern downtown. We even had the opportunity to be there on Patriot Day holiday and experience it with all the citizens. The weather was beautiful everyday. You have a city that is very welcoming to visitors. You feel like the locals are really glad that you are there. We hope to have an occasion to visit again one day.

Charming hotel and better staff

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Rooms, staff
The Auberge du Vieux Port is a charmingly restored old building right across from the river. The rooms are large and very well appointed. The staff is unsurpassed in Montreal, going out of their way to help and direct us to wherever and whatever we needed!

Old charm

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Great shower, hardwood floors, and divine sleeping.
Cons: Privacy between rooms. We could hear normal volume phone and Skype conversations from both ends of conversations. A bit awkward.
Location: We walked a lot. First time exploring Montreal. Went to the contemporary art museum on St Catherine and enjoyed the children's' art!
Gregarious and sincere greetings wirh expedient luggage and room service. Old world setting and comfy dining with friendly bar staff.

Outstanding experience

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Location: Great restaurants nearby. Easy access to metro and busses. Lively environment and a great dose of French Canada.
Spent two weeks here. The concierge staff was outstandingly helpful every day in every way. We just can't think of anything that was a minus. Breakfast was more than adequate, location was outstanding, every thing we asked for was accomplished in a timely and courteous manner. A great property in a great city. Merci beaucoup.

Quaint hotel in old Montreal

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Location: The hotel is within walking distance of all the sites in Old Montreal, restaurants and cafes, and the walkway along the river.
We had a lovely experience at Auberge du Vieux Port. The bilingual staff was very helpful and recommended places to visit. A very nice perk is that currency can be exchanged using your credit card, with no fees.

April stay in Montreal

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: We especially like the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel
Cons: There was one comfortable chair in the room. Perhaps there could be another but there was adequate seating with a desk chair.
Location: This location is in the middle of many sites and museums that we visited. Those reflect the history of Québec and the city of Montreal:
Who thinks of going North to escape the cold and snow of a long winter but we did. We were very happy and pleasantly surprised at how easy our daylong trips were from this nicely located hotel. The hotel is right on the boulevard across from the old port. The hotel staff was very friendly, polite and accommodating. They could not do more to enhance our stay and even upgraded our room to one on the front with a view of the port. This room was charming with a brick wall and wood floors evoking the periods past. We garaged our car for the 3 days of our stay and walked everywhere. There were many restaurants nearby and we also tried the one in the hotel which was very good.
