Friendly staff, nice roomsPosted Oct 17, 2014
We got in early and the staff already had our room ready for us. They were happy to take time to give us a quick overview of local sights as well. Our room was cozy and pretty - I loved the hardwood floors and exposed brick walls. Moreover, the location couldn't have been better - we were very close to two Metro stations, within a 20-minute walk from the train station, and right in the heart of an area with lots of restaurants and activity. We'd definitely stay again!

Pros: Very comfortable room. Took offer of C$ 20 per day for upgrade.
Cons: The stairs at entrance to hotel a bit of a challenge
Location: Right in centre of city of Quebec
Good location for getting around centre of Quebec and right next to centre of old Quebec

Perfect locationPosted Sep 28, 2014
Location: Centrally located, walking distance to tourist sites and good restaurants.
The hotel is centrally located, can walk anywhere and the staff are extremely helpful. We had a standard room, which is Spartan but clean. Nice breakfast buffet.

nice hotel but no parkingPosted Sep 9, 2014
Cons: see above
we arrived and there was no place to unload luggage because of a street fair... that was ok, but then the parking we were given which was several blocks away was full and we had to find something else farther away.. the next morning we had to drag our luggage a long way. The room was pretty and clean but the bathroom was sooooo small. With no elevator we did have to take our rather large bags down winding stairs to the basement level for our room. The front desk lady was so nice and I felt for her when we had no good parking option and luggage to drag. The morning breakfast was nice.

Friendly staff, walkable to everywherePosted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was wonderful and the location was great! We loved the quaint, historic attitude of the room but could hardly fit in the teeny shower (this was the basic rate room). Breakfast was not fancy but good, and everything was very clean. We loved the Latin Quarter neighborhood, shops, live music clubs, various cafes, close subway access, and busy nightlife. It was easy to navigate to the different parts of the city, especially with a staff who was always ready to provide directions and give their personal time. There were quite a few junkies who were nodding out on our street asking for money, and we did witness a homeless man stealing beer from a 7-11. These are problems you often see in a big city, and we never had anyone approach us. This is definitely is a foodie city, and the restaurants in our area were excellent especially if you follow the advice given by the owners in the book that will be in your room.

Intimate lodging, terrific staff, personal feelPosted Jul 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our stay was wonderful. The staff was so helpful. One of the owners, Marc, helped us with our luggage which was unexpected and most appreciated. This is a gem of a boutique hotel - few rooms, personal feel. The location could not be better, close to Old Montreal, with lots of energy and activity within a block. We would return in a minute.

crowded roomPosted Jul 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in a convenient spot right in the middle of a busy street. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The room is very very small. If both my husband and I extend our arms we will hit each other. The bathroom is as small as one on the cruise ship. It is more like a small motel than a regular hotel.

Still goodPosted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Location is excellent- close to the Airport Shuttle terminal, lots of excellent restaurants nearby, and a short walk from Vieux Montreal .
Cons: Not much. Rooms were clean and newly redecorated. Breakfast was good.
I stayed there a few years ago and was pleased to be able to stay there again and see the improvements. Great location, great value, and decent breakfast PLUS they have WINE!

Nice HotelPosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Its proximity to downtown.
Location: It is situated in a busy part of Montreal although it is easy to get about, the Metro system is great. It is worth visiting Mont Royal for the view.
We stayed here for 2 nights, our room was at the back of the building, so it was reasonably quiet. Parking costs $20 and for that you get a badge to hang in your car when it is parked in a nearby car park.
