“it was ok”

Our hotel room was on the first floor. Our window faced the dining room which at times was somewhat annoying.

“A decent bargain”

While not luxurious this hotel did offer a very clean, nice room for a very reasonable rate. It was a bit difficult to find.

“Transcends location”

Hotel Chateauneuf Laval (although located in an industrial area adjacent to interstate) transcends it's location with friendly staff,very spacious rooms, and lovely continental breakfast. The location does lend itself to easy auto travel to anywhere in Montreal.

“First visit but not last!”

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The balcony overlooking the courtyard was a nice add on. The continental breakfast was great with so many choices. Easily accessible. All in all a great place to stay. We'll be back....!

“A bright spot”

We stayed at this hotel towards the end of our 10 day vacation. We were on our way back from Niagara Falls and had a very unsatisfactory hotel there. Having had my hopes dashed in NF, I was cautiously optimistic in regards to this hotel. We were very pleased. The hotel was clean and well kept. Our room was comfortable and neat. My 8 year old and I enjoyed the pool. The continental breakfast in the morning was a nice way to start the long day of travelling that we had ahead of us. The desk staff was very helpful and were able to answer all our questions in english and even direct us to a local mall where we were able to get something to eat. The only drawback was that both of the ice machines were out of order so our cooler had to go without ice. Would certainly go back again.

“Nice hotel but crazy drivers getting to it”

We stayed for 2 nights at The Laval Chateauneuf Best Western. The hotel was great, and tyhe front desk personnel were extremely helpful with directions and suggestions of where to dine but getting to the hotel was quite a different story. Unless you are a seasoned driver with a touch of recklessness abandon, the drive north on highway 15 was quite the experience with speed and unsafe lane changing and some pot holes thown in just to make it challenging, we managed to find our destination without incident. Once we arived, the hotel was totally to our satisfaction. Great shopping in the area. Will we go back? Bon chance!

“Good Clean Hotel with Friendly Staff”

The hotel had good facilities for the business traveler. The wireless internet was not working in the room but was working in the Hotel Lobby. Other than this slight inconvience, I recommend this hotel for others to stay.

“Excellent Hotel”

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for several nights and really enjoyed our stay. The desk staff was attentive, efficient and friendly, the room well appointed and clean. We appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast each morning and the use of the computer in the lobby when we needed it. And the rates were competitive for hotels in that area. We had a small problem with the bathroom toilet (water kept running) the first day. We notified the desk and they sent a maintenance person to correct the problem right away. When we had to change our reservation to accommodate our travel plans, the desk staff helped us to locate a room in another city. We would definitely stay at the Best Western Chateauneuf Laval in the future.

The breakfast on weekends was a little lacking, but it was a clean and modern hotel with all the amenities for a good price, even on grand prix weekend.
