“Less than impressed”
Well I'm not certain if it was th condom wrapper that greeted us upon our arrival to our room or the Sahara desert like condions that developed after we tried to operate what could have been the first heater ever created. The staff was great, friendly, and rather helpful, but the hotel lobby had a scent that tetered between smells reminiscent to that of a public restroom and/or cigarette ashtray. It's a good thing we got drunk and passed out because I'm not certain I could have gone through with the stay otherwise. Oh and the huge planter of dead greenery wasn't doing much for the lobbys aesthetics... Not much at all. What it comes down to is... I've stayed in plenty of hotels, this one I just won't stay in again.
“Nice Staff, Comfortable Room”
The staff here was great to us during our stay. Friendly, outgoing, upbeat, they really made it feel like home for a few days. The rooms were nice, the beds some of the most comfortable we have had even in four and five star hotels. The location was quite convenient to downtown, only about a block from Chinatown, two or three blocks to the convention center, and about four blocks from Old Montreal. An IGA grocery store was only a couple blocks away so we could pick up a few essentials there. For the price, this was a great deal!
“Good downtown hotel”
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds and linens were nice. Not fancy, but the price was very good. Would stay here again.
“Old installation, need some remodeling.”
The location is great: wakdistance to Montreal Vieux, Rue Saint Denis, Rue Saint Catherine, and subway station is 2 blocks away. 747 Express Bus stop (to the airport) is just in front of Days Inn. But the installations are old, and the carpet (at lobby and 7th floor) stink. Although my room was a non smoking, 7th floor hall smelled cigarette. The bathroom was not very cleaned. The must do some remodelling there.
“Good choice for a conference visit”
I went to Montreal for a conference in the Palais de Congrès, and the hotel was very conveniently located for this purpose. It is right between the old city centre, Chinatown, a (harmless) red light district and area with lots of coffee shops, and an area with office buildings. All within walking distance. I really enjoyed the hotel service, which was available 24h. For example, I needed to print a couple of pages, which was done within a minutes at no cost at the front desk. Staff truly thought with their customers, for instance, by making sure you have the $8.00 in small change required for the airport bus when leaving. If there is one thing to improve, it would be the rather patchy wifi access on the upper floors. You get a signal, but it is unbearably slow. This was not an issue with my laptop as many other guests had the same problem. The connection worked fine in the lobby area.
“Good”
Good hotel and service.
“Good place to stay in”
The location of the hotel is really good, close to every single major attraction; the most of the time at walking distance. The staff was very helpful, they helped us in many occasions about activities, locations etc. I was surprised with their ability with various languages Valet parking was ok for me. I definitely would be back to this hotel.
“Decent Hotel”
The hotel is good. the rooms are comfortable and the location is quite good. next to old montreal and the famous St Catherine St. The only thing which I didnt like was that it was a special day for me when I checked in and expedia requested them for a surprise whereas there was none. rest everything is good about the hotel.. can go and stay back.. :)
