“Can't wait to return!!”
We travel frequently to Montreal to see our son at McGill University. We have stayed at many hotels in the area, this is by far one of our favorites. Conveniently located to McGill University and the shopping area. Parking is very convenient and easy to access. Very comfortable room with a spacious bathroom. The fitness Center, pool, squash court were the best I've seen at a hotel. Only complaint is that there is a charge of $1.50 for local calls, realized later that you can make a local call near the fitness center for no charge. Cora at the front desk was so helpful, pleasant and genuinely concerned about the guests. Also the concierge was always available and helpful.
“We couldn't have been happier!”
My boyfriend and I stayed here over memorial day weekend this past weekend and the hotel went above and beyond all of our expectations. The room and bathroom were brand new and absolutely beautiful. The room was beautiful, spacious- so clean and luxurious. Our bed was wonderful (king sized), the amenities in the bathroom- philosophy toiletries- were lovely. We couldn't have been happier and would recommend this to anyone looking to travel to Montreal!
“Good value for Downtown Montreal”
Hotel is in an excellent location - close to metro/buses, shopping, and restaurants. Room was in great condition. Hallways were very good but were undergoing slight renovations at the time I stayed, but those activities did not pose a problem. Parking is a bit pricey ($23/day), but you do get in/out privileges. Most of the rooms have balconies with good views (be sure to ask for one). The hotel could use another elevator, as it did get crowded at certain times for those on the lower floors. Skip the very overpriced room service and feed yourself from one of the many restaurants/food stores on nearby Sherbrooke or Parc. Eggspectation is a good nearby breakfast choice - there are several throughout Montreal, but there is one close to the Delta, on Maisonvenue, about a 10 min. walk SW of the hotel.
“A great hotel in a great city.”
It is very central to shops, public transportation and a short walk to the downtown core. It is also a block and a half away from Place des Arts where a lot of the many Montreal festivals are held. We will return to this hotel. Our family loves it and feel it is our Montreal home.
“Amazing Hotel”
I stayed here for 5 days and I was extremely happy with the hotel. First off the location is superb. You are near everything you would want to do, but at the end of the day when you want to sleep, you don't hear the hustle and bustle of the city. The room has a nice balcony. The internet in the room is ridiculously fast. They have connections already in the room if you want to connect your laptop to the tv and watch a movie or something. The gym area was nice, the pool and jacuzzi were clean. The entire hotel was clean. My only knock for the hotel is that when you order breakfast it takes longer than usual for it to be delivered. But it wasn't really that big of a deal.
“Delta Montreal”
The front staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was bright and wonderfully appointed. The bathroom was spacious. The room had a delightful balcony. The proximity of the hotel to St Catherine street and downtown was great. I'd stay again!
“This hotel was great!”
The hotel was great and the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Close to all! Montreal is so awesome!!!
“Convenient and people pleasing”
Yes, this property is undergoing renovation. I was given a very large, newly renovated room after being moved from an older room that had poor TV reception. I wanted at least one USA network channel. The new room was great, but for all five days cable reception was hit and miss. Maintenance staff was A+ and Catherine from guest services kept in contact with me. I did not go to Montreal to watch TV! Delta was switching cable companies. I can understand glitches. I recognized Suzanne in the restaurant from prior stays. She is a dedicated 25 year employee. Ernesto at the front desk was also great. He did not hide when I came to the desk about my TV reception. Come on fellow travelers, your comments about all hotels seem petty. There is no issue with Delta Montreal!!
“Quality downtown hotel with great gym and pool.”
We got a good rate through Expedia so it was a great deal. It's a classy place in a convenient location. Parking with the hotel is overpriced, but if you aren't planning on using your car in Montreal, you can find a less expensive lot nearby. The room was very well designed, not large, but with a great view. They don't have wifi, but the free internet was quite fast and the they have cables. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant offered good a good but not inexpensive breakfast buffet. We looked around and didn't see better choices nearby. I'd recommend the cold buffet, as it still offers plenty to eat and drink.(everything except the eggs and meats). The swimming pool and gym were outstanding -- really the best I've seen in any hotel.
“Great hotel”
Great hotel. Everything was renewed. Port connections for tv and laptops were very convenient. Room and bathroom were both very good size. Great experience!
