Hotel by the airport

Posted Jan 6, 2015
The hotel is very nice, nice shower and big room. The only drawback is it is near a railroad track, with train noise through the night. Not good for light sleeper.

Dear Pete, My name is Justine Preira and I am the General Manager here at the Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites Montreal Airport. I wanted to write to you today to thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am very sorry to hear that you were disturbed by the train noise. I understand how unpleasant this can be, especially when you had a long day at work. While it’s true that trains run frequently during the day, it is rather uncommon to have them running throughout the night. This being said, we have doubled all the windows on the train side of the hotel as part of our efforts to control the noise coming from the train at all hours of the day. I would also like to thank you for your kind words about the appearance of our property. We appreciate guest feedback, whether positive or negative, as it is the best way for us to improve on our services. The next time you visit the hotel, please do not hesitate to mention you would rather be on the airport side when you check-in. Best regards, Justine Preira General Manager

Close to Airport

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Free breakfast. New. Friendly.
Cons: Shouldn't have to pay for parking.
Location: Shuttle bus to airport 24 hrs a day. If you don't have a car it would be hard to get places. You would have to take a taxi.
Stayed 3 days, great hotel. Very close to airport and easy access to highways. Nice and fairly new. Very friendly. It's hard to find and get to. You have to go through the best western to get there. But its worth it.

Great value for the cost!

Hotel was clean and very convenient (close to airport and highway). Breakfast provided a variety of hot and cold items. Only issue was shampoo/conditioner - bring your own because hotel provisions dried out my hair.

Noise train tracks next to room

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Beware that 6 lanes of commercial train tracks are located close to the hotel. Make sure that your room isn't adjacent to the tracks. Worst night ever. Thought about having a good night sleep before flying abroad. Room is very clean.

Dear Traveller, We were sorry to hear you did not enjoy a restful night while staying with us. Being located close to a train track is a challenge for us and we are conscious that it can affect our guests. This is why we have doubled windows on the train side. We also encourage our guests to let us know their preference of sides. On your next visit, we invite you to let us know you prefer a room on the Airport side and we will make sure you will get the rest you expect. We would also like to thank you for your comments about the cleanliness of your room. We will make sure to pass these nice words to the Housekeeping department. We would also like to take this occasion to thank you for sharing your comments with us and to wish you all the best for the year 2015.

nice hotel very close to Airport, Hotel shuttle

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: the room were big enough and clean, and the lobby is also a nice size
Cons: For the restaurant to serve lunch because they open at 4pm
Location: Beside the Airport not too much, unless you have a car
The staff are very nice, they really try their best to make you feel comfortable, you get a nice breakfast, there's a bar and restaurant, but you need a car to town, unless you stopping for a night,

Nice hotel with many inclusions (Wifi, breakfast)

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Great value for money hotel; ideal for one night stay. Nice touch was the availability of coffee in the lobby 24/7 (in room machine available too).
Cons: King size beds would be better served by KING size pillows, a personal preference of mine. Plentiful, but doubt the pillows were "standard size".
Location: Close to airport, train station and main routes in and out of Montreal. One way streets can be problematic for navigation.
Would happily use this hotel again in the future. Great price, very clean and cozy. Sheets were lovely and fresh; invitiing! We were there for one night, attending a party in Beaconsfield. Worth the extra driving if just in town for a night or two for shopping, visiting etc. Surprisingly, airport noise was minimal unless we were outside. Comfy king size bed and a peaceful, good night sleep!
