old hotel, nice location.

Pros: location
old hotel. the room we got was small (with 2 queen size beds) and had smoking smell, but it is supposed to be a non-smoking room.

We loved this hotel..great location (central)….staff friendly and helpful…room very attractive and cosy. We had a great view from our room, which was an extra. Restaurant was excellent also.

Small on space but huge on elegance

Pros: Coffee maker with real cream and choice of Montreal Gazette or Globe and Mail every morning. Beds are very comfortable and windows open for fresh air
Cons: No too much
Location: Hotel connects underground to Central Station and and Place Ville shopping center.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. The room was a bit small compared to most other hotel rooms but everyhting else was top notch. The television is huge, the coffee is a Kuerig system with great Timothy coffee and real cream (not powdered). The toiletries were lovely and the shower was very good. The beds were glorious and we slept very well. The front desk people were excellent and once we completed the check-in process the girl smiled and asked me if I had any questions. I do not use internet when I am on holiday, so the fee for wifi was of no consequence to me. We flew to Montreal and took the 747 bus from the airport right to the hotel, so parking was not an issue. I loved everything about the hotel. Something I must mentionned is that we got there before check in time and she was looking for a room that was ready but told me of she could not find a non-smoking king ready, they would store our luggage and we could come back. At that point I asked if there were any smoking rooms ready and she said there were several, so I agreed to a smoking room. There was very little smell of smoke in the hall of our floor and absolutely no smell of stale smoke in the room. The only thing that would give it away as a smoking room was the ash try, so if your non-smoking room is not ready try a smoking one. Unless you are very sensitive, there isn't any difference.

The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. When we arrived 4 hours before check in, our room was ready for us.

Pros: Well located and the staff, especially the concierge, are wonderful.
Cons: Room was a little small for me and my family. The small bistro wait staff were not on top of things in the way I expected.
Location: Perfectly located in the center of downtown for shopping, exploring, eating, you name it.
This is wonderfully located right downtown with easy access to the metro and underground shopping. Many of the sights and restaurants are in easy walking distance.

Old Old Old

Pros: Nothing just the fact that is located close to everything Down town, Old Montreal)
Cons: Renovate the rooms
Location: Location is good. 10 minute walk from every attraction in the city.
Horrible stay. Place needs a serious renovation. Everything looks old and dirty.

One Night at the Fairmont

Pros: The staff and the whole experience.
Cons: The bedroom doors do not keep the noise out.
Location: Great Location! Next to a lot of the summer festivals!
Easy check-in, gave us a different room when we realized we had super noisy neighbours.

I Had forgot some cloths in the room and they send them back express post, really good service. Thank you Genevieve I did not have the time of my flight... the concierge got all the info for me, great service. I would go back there in a heart beat!!!
