“What a Wonderful Hotel !!”

Great Area near Downtown Montreal and near Concordia Univ. We had a wonderful room with a great view of the city. worth every penney and more !!!

“As Good As Expected”

Staff were always helpful and obliging. Quality of hotel was good. The view of Downtown Montreal from my room was impressive, especially at nightfall (film noir touch). Personally, I'm not too finicky about hotels, but I thought for the price, the DuFort was a good deal. Initially, when searching hotels for my trip, I found that the good comments about this hotel greatly outweighed any bad ones. Therefore I fully endorse the good comments.

“Home away from home”

The room was larger than expected, and the furnishings were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom was very nice and clean. It's in a convenient and safe location.

This hotel provided excellent value. The fitness room was small but had a few good machines. The room itself was very comfortable and the fridge was convenient. This hotel is a good choice if you don't care that there aren't huge public spaces within the hotel. The lobby is very small. The hotel is conveniently close to the Metro.

“Superb value for money”

Great hotel in a funky little part of town. 5/10 mins walk to nearest metro and just off St Catherine's St which is a main thoroughfare into town. Very helpful staff who knew a lot about what was happening in Montreal. Big spacious room with a little kitchenette with a fridge/mwave and sink which I didnt use but could save on eating out if you are there for a while. There is wifi but not included in expedia rate nor are free local calls. There is a business centre (a small room with 1 PC in there!) which is free to use and has interenet access and a printer. Ten bucks for breakfast (did not try but looked ok on the flyers). There is a small gym in hotel and loads of decent eating nearby. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Very courteous, very clean, great location. The amenities are lacking, but that was expected and I'm sure helps keep the price down!

“Excellent Boutique Hotel in downtown Montreal”

The hotel is in a very good location, near shopping complexes, bus stops and metro (subway) stations. There are tons of restaurants in the area - just about any kind of food you could possibly want. The hotel is also close to Montreal's downtown nightlife mecca (Bishop & Crescent Streets). This is the hotel I stay at every year when I visit Montreal and it is always excellent!

“Great hotel, pleasant stay”

Great location, just around the corner from Rue St. Catherine where you will find many amazing clothing stores and casual restaurants. Within walking distance to the subway and coffee shops. Grocery and convenience stores nearby as well as a 24-hour internet cafe. Pleasant and helpful staff and a very clean and spacious room. Comfortable and affordable - an unusual combination these days, especially in such a great part of town. I highly recommend Hotel Du Fort.

“Fear not, Americans”

Upon arrival at the conveniently located Hotel du Fort, we were greeted by English and French hotel staff. Very friendly simple check in. A bit of confusion at check out regarding tax refund for foreigners. ***Print your EXPEDIA online receipt BEFORE you go to Canada and have it stamped at customs when you return to US.*** The mini kitchen is great to save $, plus there is a supermarche right across the street. Not too far from Rue Crescent, a great restaurant row. Close to Metro station, safe area. Wanted to stay an extra week, it was fantastic!
