Excellent locationPosted Aug 30, 2014
Great location. Close to everywhere. Elevators were somehow every slow. One time we had to wait for the elevator for about 10 minutes. That's unacceptable if you are in hurry.

Fabulous Montreal HotelPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, friendliness, convenience, uniqueness
Cons: Updated countertops in the bathroom would be a nice match to the elegant black marble bathroom floors
Location: Pointe-a-Calliere Montreal Museum of Archeology and History - one of the most interesting and well designed museums we have ever visited!
Love, Love, Love this hotel! This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The location is positively outstanding! The rooms are spacious and very clean. The spotless white duvet comforters are crisp and comfortable. The beds are incredibly comfortable and much appreciated after walking all over Old Montreal. The kitchenette was a fabulous convenience, although we mainly ate in restaurants while in Montreal. The view from the 24th floor was spectacular and completed the hotel in the city experience. It is especially beautiful at night. The roof top pool area was such a treat. There are tables and chairs and my husband and I enjoyed tea and coffee along with a couple of croissants as we watched the downtown Sherbrooke Ouest area come to life on a Monday morning in August. I cannot say enough about the hotel staff, they were so friendly. The parking garage is very convenient, located under the hotel and the fantastic attendants actually accommodated our mini van and 3 bikes! They have awesome bike racks. The lobby is very beautiful and the elevators are not small and they are not slow, which is something I read online and almost caused me to look for a different place. We traveled in August with two teenagers and we will positively go back. Definitely get the "Royal breakfast" served on Sunday mornings at the Maison Christian Faure located in the Old Port on 355 Place Royale. If you are not traveling on a Sunday visit anyway, the almond croissant is pure heaven!

Stayed here before and that's why came back.Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Pool on top of roof
Cons: Prices could be lower for room service
Location: as above - close to lots of shopping and restuarants
Close to the downtown shopping core and restaurants, but not too close to the night clubs and noise.

University Student ParentPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Close to everything!
Cons: Hotel is a bit dated and elevators are very small, but not much you can do to change that.
Location: Major universities, shopping, restaurants and financial district are all within walking distances.
I needed a hotel room, on short notice, near the university my child is attending and Le Cantlie Suites fit the bill perfectly. Walking distance to campus and close to all amenities Montreal has to offer.

Convenient location, very pleasant staffPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location, size of room, staff, parking
Location: Downtown, near to metro and McGill University
We stayed here for a long weekend while dropping our son off to start at McGill University. The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was conveniently located and reasonably priced. The only negative I can comment on is that the bathrooms could use a little updating. Our shower didn't drain well and it just looked a little worse for wear. The beds and the room itself however were clean and pleasant and nicely decorated.

Good, but not great, but still good!Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The beds, the free appetizer, the location
Cons: Shower heads & more informative staff
Location: Lots of restaurants, shopping, accessibility to public transit, not far from mount royal or downtown montreal
Decent hotel to stay in, like anything in life, it had its pros and cons.... Cons # 1. Shower head needs to be upgraded for taller people (whacked my head off it a few times) # 2. Staff could have been more informative about the city Pros # 1. Good location, really accessible to transit # 2. King size beds there are fantastic # 3. Coupon for a free appetizer...yes u have to purchase a drink to get it, but hey free stuff is good! All in all, it was a good place to stay for a few nights!

Most welcoming!Posted Aug 23, 2014
We stayed at the Cantlie Hotel in Montreal for three nights in August, 2014. The staff at the hotel sent up extra sheets/ blankets for the fold-out couch within a minute of our call, went out of their way to give us directions and recommendations to the Jean-Talon daily open market in Little Italy etc etc. They were extremely professional and gracious. The rooms are huge, comfortable and very clean. Great to have a kitchen and frig. Lovely bio2 products in bathrooms. Highly recommend this hotel for your Montreal stay.

Good Hotel . Really nice rooms. Small bathroom. Long wait time for elevators and not enough SUV parking in hotel valet. We were told upon arrival that there were limited spaces and to to use a lot up the street. I argued with them that was poor service and not being upfront in hotel description about parking available. They all of a sudden found me a space??? Other than that it was a good overall experience. I think I would stay at a larger chain hotel next time.
