We booked this last minute to see the eclipse because it looked like Montreal would have clear skies. The staff was very friendly, the room was nice, and the price was extremely reasonable! They recommended a French restaurant that was amazing, Holder. I would definitely stay with them again!

My fiancée and I stayed here. Place was fantastic. Room was very clean and warm. Shower was amazing. Staff was friendly and held onto our bags while we went to pick up our car. Continental breakfast had more options than we had anticipated and was also amazing. Parking was limited and had to park in a garage which was a bit expensive Would definitely stay here again - 10/10

Very spacious room with king size bed and sofa, plenty of sockets. I am surprised there is a iMac on the desk. The staff are friendly and helpful. But the breakfast offers less choices.

Very clean, modern, minimalist hotel. Friendly staff, big buffet breakfast with plenty of choices (including delicious French pastries). I had a room facing the street and it was quiet, no street noise. Walkable to the river and Old Port, McGill University and Museum of Fine Arts.

Very well decorated, equipped and maintained. A modern vibe with superior cleanliness all around. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Montreal for leisure, business and/or sight-seeing. In a central location however, I did not rate it 5 stars because the parking facilities were inconvenient. Parking is located about a block down from the hotel (access through the convention centre).

Good size room with very comfortable bed.Check in process was very pleasant with their friendly staff.Breakfast was excellent,dining area was very clean and presentable.Location is great, 5-10 mins walk to Notre Dame Basilica,Metro station and China town.only downside is offsite parking structure that does not have in and out privileges.

Awesome location! This is my second time staying here and I’m so content with my experience. Great staff, love the included breakfast and the rooms are always very clean and spacious! Also great walking location to many sites without being noisy

he rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and quiet.The breakfast was ok, not with a huge variety of options ! The only problem was the smelly fridge in the room that wasn't working. Plus, there wasn't any info in the room about when dinner was or how to reach the front desk for help.

Within walking distance to shopping and the Bell Centre. Also, close to the train station. The hotel is modern and comfy. The breakfast (included) is amazing! The only negative was a very strong contact cement/glue smell which permeated throughout. I’m assuming that is temporary.

Definitely a reasonable pick, especially for the price! Because the hotel is more of a budget option, they have a strict 12pm checkout policy and minimal services. But the free coffee and breakfast are fantastic. Only thing I should mention is that my room was very, very cold. I turned the thermostat up to the maximum temperature, but the hotel resets and turns off all heaters at 10am and 1pm every day, and my room never made it past 16 or 17 degrees Celsius. The staff were efficient about addressing the problem, though, and on the last day, they helped me override the controls to keep the heater on longer. Make sure to call front desk to ask for help with this issue.

Unfortunately LOTS of construction around this gem of a hotel. Tough to navigate surrounding streets. Off site parking is expensive and while close by, difficult to get back to the hotel to collect bags or people because of the construction. Breakfast is the best continental breakfast ever! Room was excellent as were the front desk staff.

A great hotel at an affordable price. I really like their beverage machine which is accessible 24 hours a day. The hotel is so generous in this. To me it is one of the major attractions as I wake up really early, usually before 5am that I can go down to have a coffee.

Dauphin is a great hotel for short stays for business or pleasure. The hotel is extremely clean, the staff is professional and kind and the prices are beyond reasonable. I would definitely stay there again and I would recommend it strongly to anyone looking for a hotel near the Old Port, Chinatown and downtown Montreal!
