“Very nice stay in Montreal”
Nice service in this hotel. Convenient location. Tidy and properly decorated hotel rooms.
“A nice option in the village”
We had 2 rooms at this hotel - one was nicer, while the other had a bit of chipped paint. But you can't beat the location, the price, or the extremely friendly staff. Breakfast in bed was charming! The noise level late at night was a bit high due to revelers returning from the bars, but not for very long.
“A reasonably priced hotel in a great location.”
My partner and I stayed here for three nights in June 2011. The hotel was satisfactory for the price, and the area it's in is great. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Montreal.
“A Good Place for the Price”
When we drove in we thought the neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but the next day we walked just one street up and it was a busy area with lots of shops. Also, it's only about a 10-15 min walk to Old Montreal/Old Port, which is probably where you'll end up going. The hotel was clean and the service was friendly. Definitely not a luxury hotel, but a great deal for the price.
“Marin in Montreal”
Staff very friendly. We had bikes with us and they let us lock them up for safety. Rooms clean and everyday breakfast was a great treat. Located in the heart of downtown and free parking.
“Great location, free parking, breakfast in bed!”
We got to Montreal a couple times a year and always like to try somewhere different. There's nothing worse than checking into a hotel and realizing you could be in Montpelier or Mumbai, based on the generic room. Not here. Each room was decorated differently - they were small, but perfectly suitable for a couple - a continental breakfast of baguettes, croissants, coffee, and orange juice was delivered to your door at the time of your choosing - the room was clean - the staff was friendly - and one of the best things in Montreal, a free parking lot. We arrived at 10pm on a Friday night and still managed to get a space. From there it's just a block or so to St Catherine Street. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
“Best Deal In The Village”
On a quiet side street only steps from St. Catherine, The St. Andre is much better than some higher-priced hotels in the area. Breakfast delivered to the room at the time YOU choose is a big bonus!!! Only 1 block from the BERRI-UQAM metro station making city travel easy and cost-effective. I plan to return soon !!!!!
“Great for the money”
Great for the money, I split it four ways with my friends who stayed with me - we slept in two double beds. Rooms were nice and clean, pretty comfortable, although maybe a little clammy/damp feeling. Free breakfast was nice, reception was nice and helpful. Best part of the hotel was the location - right nearby Rue St. Denis, St. Laurent and Prince Arthur - all great for nightlife, bars and restaurants.
“Great Hotel”
The hotel, although it is in a slightly seedy part of town, has a great location. Easy walking distance to the old part of Montreal, fast food restaurants (essential when traveling with kids) and a supermarket just up the road. Service was very friendly and helpful. The guys on the front desk couldn't have been more helpful, and went out of their way to retrieve an item that was left behind when we left. A big plus for us was the off-street parking next to the hotel. Saved the hassles and expense of finding something commercial.
“Good Deal”
Good deal for the price. It is located in a central location. WIFI is quick. There is parking.
