Nice hotel, close to rue Ste. Catherine

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: the bathroom facility needs upgrading
Location: Located half block from Ste. Catherine St. East, and about a 10 min walk to Ste. Catherine St. West. Abundance of restuarants and bars in the area.
overall the room was OK....linens and towels were excellent, as was the decor....the bathroom was somewhat outdated. Ample parking at several lots around the building at reasonable rates. I do not recommend the basement parking if your vehicle exceeds "compact"...the basement walls are carpeted for a reason !!!!!

Clean hotel in convenient location.

Simple and clean hotel. Walking distance to Latin Quater, Village, and downtown. Steps away from stop on 747 bus to airport. Overall a good experience for the amount paid.

Overpriced, for what you get.

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Not much - leaving it was the best part.
Cons: Most everything aside from t he location.
Overpriced, for what you get. Parking can be had for 1/2 the price (underground) a block away. Carpet in the rooms needs replacing, decor needs updating. Air conditioning is on the last legs. Look elsewhere, unless as a very last resort if you are stuck. The location is fairly good though, aside from the riff raff from the subway. About 1KM from the old city.

Nice hotel, close to many tourist places

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: good hotel, very good location
We were able to walk to many places leaving your car in the next door parking lot. Traffic in Montreal is the worst ever! They probably don't want visitors :-)

Lord Berri is well located and affordable

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Location and price.Elevators work well.
Cons: Restaurant is in need of a major facelift.
Location: Close to Metro and restaurants.
Hotel is well located and price is good. Limited parking that is very expensive at $22 per night - a good option is the library up 2 blocks on Rue Berri at $9 for 24 hours on the weekend.

Nice 3 -1/2 star hotel

Posted May 8, 2014
Pros: Reasonable cost and great location for many things to see and do in Montreal.
Cons: The surroundings are slightly on the grungy side but that has nothing to do with the actual hotel but rather the many street people found nearby.
Location: Hotel is very close to the Metro/subway, the main bus station, plus near many lounges, pubs and dining venues
This is a well situated downtown Montreal hotel ( East end ) near the main bus terminal, the subway, near bars and restaurants. The upper floor rooms that seem to have been renovated are very comfortable. Good beds and a restful sleep. Overall a most enjoyable place to overnight especially when the asking prices are reasonable compared to the rates charged at many name brand hotels that might offer a slightly more modern touch but at double if not triple the per night rates found at the Lord Berri hotel.

Very simple, but nice, hotel. Friendly staff. About a mile walk from the Old Port, but close to some cool areas on St. Dennis.
