Worst conditions for price paid

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: Hotel owners and management should be ashamed of themselves, price should be much lower than185 CAD/night.
Location: Location was not bad, even though not very central and had to use car for going to city centre
This hotel should be taken off Expedia lists for the following reasons: Shabby furniture Worn out bathrooms and room finishing's Smelly rooms and corridors Bathroom were smelly and unclean, we didn't wish to use the towels. Flies were found in one of the rooms and strange insects crawling on my phone screen while in bed! Window type air conditioners! old and loud! I stayed with my family in two rooms, our booking was for two nights but we stayed only one night and had to move out to another hotel for the second day, although I tried to change the hotel once entered our rooms but we were all very tired and we couldn't find a close-by hotel to move; it was Saturday night and most of hotel were fully booked.

Perfect for Osheaga

Perfect location, lots of cheaper parking options. Staff was friendly and let us check in early which was nice after a 12 hr drive. Super close to market, resturants, and right next to subway. Room was fine, mini fridge was nice, and a/c worked well.

Get a different hotel than this one....

Old hotel having a hard time to keep up, but charging a premium price. Paid 225$ (tax in) 22$ parking for a 1 night stay, breakfast NOT included. Got a crummy, dingy room which has nothing in common with the pictures on Expedia. Dated washroom, air conditioner from the sixties, what appeared to be 7 foot ceilings and garbage piled up in the parking garage. Claustrophobic cheap motel feel for premium money. There are MUCH better hotels in MTL for less money. Stay here only if you have to. Check in staff were courteous, morning check out lady had an attitude....not staying in this place again

Lovely hotel, close to everything.

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: room rates location comfort friendly staff
Cons: More soaps and shampoos in the bathroom.
Location: Berri/UQAM was a 2 minute walk down the street. St. Catherine was round the the corner, so if you like bars and clubbing it's very convenient
I was staying with 3 other friends, so the price for the room was really good! We were fortunate enough to get a newly renovated room. The hotel was in a very convenient location; the subway station( Berri/UQAM) was about a 2 minute walk down the road, and St.Catherine street was about the same. Lovely cafes and such to grab breakfast if you didn't opt for the buffet. And the staff were very nice and always smiling.

Reasonable hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking and room
Location: Good location.
The complain is about the room. They have some rooms renovated, feel and look nice but some of them are not, thus look and feel shady. They do not tell you about that at all. The parking facility is a nightmare if you have a full size vehicle, limited slots and space for parking. But the location of the hotel is good and within working distance from many attractions, the old city, Norte Dam, St. Dennis street, etc.

Nice hotel, close to rue Ste. Catherine

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: the bathroom facility needs upgrading
Location: Located half block from Ste. Catherine St. East, and about a 10 min walk to Ste. Catherine St. West. Abundance of restuarants and bars in the area.
overall the room was OK....linens and towels were excellent, as was the decor....the bathroom was somewhat outdated. Ample parking at several lots around the building at reasonable rates. I do not recommend the basement parking if your vehicle exceeds "compact"...the basement walls are carpeted for a reason !!!!!

Simple and clean hotel. Walking distance to Latin Quater, Village, and downtown. Steps away from stop on 747 bus to airport. Overall a good experience for the amount paid.
