Best concierges I have ever encountered!Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Staff and location.
Location: It is in the heart of everything!
Charming hotel that is in the heart of everything. The beds were fantastic and the hotel bar/restaurant made it easy to relax. What sets this hotel above all the places I have stayed is the staff. Friendly and accessible. The concierges really made our trip flawless. They started helping us plan our trip months before our arrival. This is an amazing place to stay in Montreal.

Relaxation and Pampering for our AnniversaryPosted Dec 29, 2014
Central location to Old Montreal to visit the museums, galleries, pop out for lunch and enjoy a delicious dinner. Hotel was chic, elegant with a touch of old world class. Our suite was large, comfy and stylish. Bathroom a great size and loved the walk in shower. We enjoyed breakfast in our room and it was hot and tasty. Definitely recommend. We enjoyed a tasting menu in the Verses restaurant and the dining room staff were very knowledgeable and courteous. This was a staycation for us and we loved it.

Beautiful and noisyPosted Dec 29, 2014
Very nice property in a great location. Rooms with nice finishings and amenities in bedroom/bath/closet. Pleasant public areas, well appointed and courteous staff. Unfortunately, paid for an upgrade to a larger room in the west end of the building, situated above the Mechant Boeuf bar/restaurant, and had pounding dance beat coming through walls and floors until 2am nightly. Staff suggestion was that they would ask the bar to turn down the volume. That didn't work.

Charm and characterPosted Dec 29, 2014
Quaint hotel with lots of charm and character. Easy access to all things Old Montreal has to offer. Lovely lobby bar and restaurants. Service at restaurants poor and slow but then not a great surprise as most Montreal restaurants have little or no service quality.

Real boutique hotel in the Vieux-MontrealPosted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Location, the room was very nice (big and comfortable), restaurant and bar
Cons: The shower tap could be improved. Not too much water coming if you madam have long hair
Location: All Vieux-Montreal to walk, Old Port and the metro station in close (5 minutes walking). Lots of restaurants
This is a very nice boutique hotel, looking traditional and fashionable at the same time. The restaurant was great (innovative french food).

Great hotel right in the heart of Old Montreal.Posted Nov 30, 2014
We absolutely loved The Nelligan. The staff were all so helpful, cheerful and welcoming. We were upgraded to a lovely junior suite. The fitness center was very adequate. So many great restaurants, attractions, galleries, and shopping all within a short walk. A friend had recommended it to us and we will certainly sign their praises to others.

No Better Place to Spend a Birthday!Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Everything. The ambiance, the staff, the food....all of it.
Location: It is in Vieux Montreal. We like to go to the theatre at the Centaur. There is a boutique in the next block, Delano, that I love!
For my husband's 75th birthday we wanted to go somewhere relaxed and yet upscale. The Nelligan is always one of our go-to places and this time they out-did themselves! From the friendliness and helpfulness of staff, to the little touches (like sending up chocolate covered strawberries for my spouse), the entire stay was delightful! We would highly recommend the Nelligan to anyone for any occassion.....or simply for a night away!

Romantic Weekend GetawayPosted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: We loved the service, the room itself, the architecture, but, most importantly, the staff.
Cons: A rug in the bath for those cold days would be spectacular.
Location: Many restaurants, lovely waterfront, the market are all nice choices. We walked to the Museum of Art - wonderfuL!
Staff and accommodations both above exemplary. Nathalia, one of the concierges, hooked us up for a phenomenal dining experience at Baracco (spelling?)... the charming Christophe - who Nathalia said to send greetings to - made me a specialty cocktail... lovely! The hotel is well-appointed, the staff are tres charmante and hospitable. Whether you need directions, suggestions, or a taxi, the ever-available and pleasing staff make certain your needs are met. In addition, the hotel bar/dining area (the less fancy of the two) was great for a bite and a drink. Happy vibe. All hotels should be so lovely!

Great location. Helpful staff.Posted Nov 13, 2014
Hotel is in the middle of the old town, two minutes walk from the Basilica, five minutes from the subway, and only 20-30 minutes to walk into the downtown. Great base for exploring Montreal. Staff were all very friendly and helpful -- e.g. we got an early check-in with no fuss. Very relaxing and ideal for a few days away from the kids.
