Grand Lil Hotel in the heart of Old Montreal.

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: For us - absolutely nothing.
Location: Greyhound bus tours. Hop on hop off tours. Easy walking. Picture taking and photo shoots. Art shops. Restaurants and Shopping.
If you enjoy small and personal, this is the hotel for you. Prime location, steps from the Basilica. My hubby and I stayed for 8 nights and this hotel will be our one and only choice for any future visits to Montreal. Lobby, halls and rooms filled with enough Pop Art to put a smile on your face for the entire day. Curl up with a magazine and a glass of wine in their friendly bar with the nicest of bar tenders. Manager, staff, all staff, - tops.

We enjoyed are room very much and the staff was very helpful. I will say the bar was slightly a disappointment because they had not yet updated their menu so it got confusing at times. Also, a slight annoyance was our fire alarm going off due to a maintenance issue, but they were very apologetic and quick to rectify the situation.

Cons: The breakfast which we happily chose not to purchase was just a very basic continental and the bar is just for convenience.

Cons: The bathroom. Lighting above the shower and proper shower head, please.
Location: Near the Place d'Armes.
The hotel is newly redone and boasts and extensive modern art collection in the public spaces and rooms. My room - a kingbed room- was spacious with nice appointments. The hotel is close to many sites in Vieux Montreal. The only downside was the rather dark bathroom with handheld shower only.

Great location, great price

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The spaciousness and comfortableness of the room.
Cons: There were some areas where paint appeared to be chipping, especially the n the bathroom.
Location: Great location near the St. Catherine shopping area.
L'Hotel Montreal was a great experience. the room was very well-appointed and HUGE. We had so much space. It felt more like a B and B than a hotel room. The large bathtub was very relaxing after a long, rainy day walking around the city. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also great the next morning. We booked on expedia and got a great deal. Much cheaper than other downtown hotels, and even the chains. Overall, an excellent experience.

An Excellent Hotel!

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: The rooms were were beautiful and so clean. Even the hallways were kept extremely clean. There was interestiving artwork hanging everywhere!
Cons: It would have been nice if the hotel had a restaurant for dinner.
Location: Old Montreal is right there! You can walk to all the sights, restaurants, shopping, etc.
We really enjoyed our visit to Old Montreal and L'Hotel was such a lovely place to stay. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go. I would definitey recommend this hotel if you're coming to this area!
