Convenient hotel in the center of the city.

Overall we were very satisfied. We would have liked better facilities for dining in the hotel though. The bar was not up to the standards we were looking for.

Went to a concert in down town montreal...went through expedia...looked nice and the price was good. Very nice hotel and clean. Would go there again

Great Location, Great Amenities, Poor Pricing

Pros: Amazing bed, comfortable room, phenomenal pool and whirlpool.
Cons: Non-alcoholic beverage pricing. Parking fees and the communication/administration of those fees.
Location: Near the Bell Center, right downtown. Easy walk to tourist information center and old town Montreal. A block from St. Catherine street!
My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Sheraton and the experience was almost as perfect as you'd expect. However, two issues that were not advertised well and could be drastically improved going forward. 1 - A small cup of Coca Cola was $5 at the bar. Completely unreasonable for someone who doesn't drink alcohol. Nor was the price advertised anywhere. 2 - Front desk charged us for parking, but when we went to Valet to pick it up, he requested to see our checkout bill and then "confirmed" that we did not pay enough for parking. He then asked us how we'd like to pay the additional $32 we owed. With bags in hand, ready to leave, this was a very unfortunate ending to an otherwise enjoyable stay. Make your parking charges more transparent and have the last billing contact be the front desk; it shouldn't be with a gentleman in a booth that examines your clients' bill to ensure enough parking was billed.

I have been at the Sheraton Centre, many times for meetings, but don't recal having stayed there. The overall experience was neutral, but I felt that the staff at the reception and at the staff at the entrance where the cabs and cars arrive uninterested in their job and the customers. At the time of checkout, the staff smiled at me, asked me whether I wanted the credit card on file to be used and then simply charged and printed the bill without even showing me the amount prior to finalizing the transaction. She handed me the paperprint and ... went on with her life. She was not rude, she was not inappropriate, she even smiled but she was not there... In the lobby whenever I passed by the various concierges and clerks I almost felt that I was a disturbance to their conversations. They were noisy, not present, simply not interested in their job or myself. In the evening, coming back from dinner, my wife and I sat at the bar for a Scotch and a glass of wine, and the waiter had the same attitude, absent, not rude not pleasant, simply doing the tasks with blank eyes. An exception to this was the bar at breakfast time, where I came down for a latte for my wife and myself

Room had unpleasant odor and ac didn't work upon arrival. Maintenance man arrived promptly and repaired ac, odor seemed to dissipate. Mattress was worn out on side closest to bedside table, so I would roll off if came to close to that side. Bathroom cabinets could use a touch as scratched and worn looking. Pool, gym and hot tub area very nice. Love that you can disembark and load/unload out of traffic. Great location for getting around Montreal, staff were usually good, housekeeper great! Room was comfortable and would stay again.

We loved it. Nice, comfortable, well located, good facilities. The only problem I had is that everything costs extra on top of an already high fee. We ordered room service and 15% tip was mandatorily added plus a delivery charge, so the waiter was left empty-handed as the tip was already taken. We had breakfast and again 15% tip mandatory plus other spurious taxation fees on top of GST. Additional $25 for parking and $15 to watch a movie without advertisements every 8 minutes. All-in-all was a great, comfortable stay, however the add-ons were a little annoying.

Cons: many things.
Location: its good. near shopping and touristic places.
i have never been in a hotel room without a minibar! there was construction around with embarrassing noise. small staff were absent such as shoe shiner, toothpaste and slippers.

Overall a decent hotel, reasonably priced, but nothing special. Had to wait one hour in the restaurant for our dinner, which was difficult with a 2-year old son with us...
