Good for 20-somethingsPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: staff was very nice
Cons: More lighting in rooms. More mirrors in room.
Location: Located in the heart of Old Montreal, right behind Notre Dame. Walking distance to everything in Old Montreal.
We spent 4 nights at Saint Sulpice taking 2 rooms. Travelled with my husband, our teenage son and my mom (who had the second room). The hotel is right in the heart of Vieux Montreal which is great for accessing the bar scene and the (heavily) tourist area. Right behind Notre Dame, and convenient in that sense. The staff couldn't have been nicer or tried harder, but the hotel rooms are poorly laid out, poorly lit, no mirrors, and the one mirror in the room was not near an outlet so, being a female with long hair and sharing a bathroom with the rest of the family, no place to sit down and put on make-up and do hair etc. The beds were comfortable but we kept tripping over the murphy bed as it allowed virtually no space to walk. The safes in both our rooms were inoperable (and apparently unfixable) and the cordless phone in one room didn't work and they wouldn't replace it (in a VERY long room with and almost 80 year old lady needing to run every time the phone rang). For our age group (over 45) we'd probably prefer to stay in a more upscale hotel in a more upscale neighborhood closer to the finer restaurants we enjoyed.

Exceptional hotel in Old MontrealPosted Aug 18, 2014
Cons: The only thing I might consider is additional valet parking staff - during rush times it was a bit hectic.
Location: The hotel is in the center of the most interesting tourist destinations. It is easy to use as a base for walking and exploring old Montreal.
I travel frequently and this hotel is a gem. The staff was incredible - very friendly, helpful and responsive. This is a very cozy hotel with a small but good bar and restaurant. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. The location is superb and convenient to excellent and interesting sites and tourist destinations. It was also very close to the running trail which I took full advantage of. I would strongly recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again. I would put this hotel at the top of it's class.

Clean, friendly and convenient!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Convenience, close proximity to beautiful Notre Dame and the square.
Cons: Price per night
Location: Old Montreal, great restaurants, beware some tourist traps and homeless begging but the people of Montreal are so pleasant this is quickly overlooked
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience in this hotel. The hotel's location was incredibly convenient, in the middle of old Montreal. I would return to this hotel in the future.

Beautiful hotel in old MontrealPosted Jul 1, 2014
Wonderful experience at Le Saint Sulpice. Traveling alone with my baby daughter, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The crib was waiting in our room when we got there. They even switched us rooms from the get-go since our initial room was at street level, and the staff was concerned that the noise from the street would wake up my daughter. Very attentive staff also in the restaurant, and breakfast there was delicious. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel

Excellent hotel in the heart of Old MontrealPosted May 27, 2014
Beautiful and roomy suite, little pricey but worth it. Hotel was next to Notre Dame Basilica and easy walk to the restaurants. We totally enjoyed our stay here!
