Terrific hotel in superb location.

Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. Spacious room, sophisticated vibe, great staff. Best of all is the amazing locaton in Vieux Montreal, next to Notre Dame and just blocks from the shops, galleries, and dining that Montreal is known for.

Le Stain Suplice has the feel of a very comfortable, warm old hotel with all the modern amenities. I had only a one night stay, but it was a pleasure to dine in their restaurant, wander in Old Montreal, and return to a very comfortable and comforting surrounding.

The hotel is adorable and in a great part of town!

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Less perfumey smell in lobby.
Location: Tons to do. Old Town Montreal is amazing. You're super central to so much in the city. Great find.
Overall it was great. The staff was very nice and attentive, the hotel is beautiful and well equipped and you just can't beat the location, right down the street from Notre Dame and near lots of great bars and restaurants. Of course the L'Octaine in the rooms doesn't hurt! I would highly recommend this place -- only downside was the strong perfume-like smell in the lobby, but I found this at a number of places in Montreal.

A high quality hotel in an excellent location

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Personal service; very comfortable bed
Cons: The only reservation is that it is quite expensive, but typical of the top end hotels at this location
Location: Everything that is available in Old Montreal
The Sulpice is an extremely pleasant fully modernized hotel ideally situated in the center of Old Montreal. The staff were all most helpful and courteous, even to giving us excellent advice where we could replace a garment bag that broke on our trip to Montreal. We were upgraded to a King Bed Suite that was very comfortable and well appointed. Our room was also made up early in the day a service that we seldom see in the US anymore.

Perfect location in Vieux Montreal

Pros: Dog friendly. Nespresso machine in the suite. Attentive service. Very comfortable bed. Pleasant amenities.
Cons: Expedia could improve its accuracy in projecting taxes. We paid more than anticipated. Hotel said this usually happens with Expedia.
Location: Basilique Notre Dame, Musee d'Archeologie Pointe-a-Calliere, walking tour of Old Montreal, markets, many good restaurants.
We spent five nights at Le Saint Sulpice in late August. It was our third trip to the city, and the best hotel location--convenient to everything, especially the park along the Rue de la Commune in Old Port, which was perfect for walking our dog mornings and evenings. There are many good restaurants within walking distance, and strolling up Rue St. Paul always offered something interesting to see.

Very cool!!!!

Pros: The rooms were large with a small kitchenette. We had two teenage daughters and there was loads of room.
Location: We parked our car and walked for two days. The location was perfect.
Located right in the old City, we couldn't believe out eyes when we entered the lobby and the hotel room. It was gorgeous! I strongly recommend this hotel just to see the rooms and main floor. The staff was friendly and very welcoming.
