Nice hotel close to a lot

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: It was great to have a full kitchen! I liked that it was across from a square - cute area.
Cons: The mattress was quite hard, which I usually like, but it, and the pillows, were a little uncomfortable to me.
Location: In downtown, so within walking distance from many restaurants, etc. There is a Second Cup next door and a Burger King on the corner. :)
I really liked the location of this hotel, and the staff (especially the valets) were very nice. The room was a studio suite, which was roomy. Nice kitchen area. The pool was rectangular less, same depth (less than 5' deep) all across. There was no jacuzzi, but the area was cool. Being on the roof, we got to see lightening while in the indoor pool! Didn't use the exercise room, but it looked decent. Overall, a good, quiet, classy hotel.

Pros: everything
Location: Tim hortons, museums, tons of shopping, restaurants and almost anything you would want or need.
This stay was our third stay at this hotel. The staff is willing to go out of there way to do anything you ask of them. Very friendly and helpful staff. Best location for walking around Montreal.

The room was a very generous size, staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, close to great shopping and dining. Go the the Apolloglobe restaurant around the corner if you have a chance. Simon's department store is nearby.

Like being at home in downtown Montreal

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: tall ceilings in the newly renovated and very comfortable rooms, rooftop pool, great housekeeping service, perfect location
Cons: quality of TV reception better in-room toaster and coffee-maker
Location: Just off Blvd Renee-Levesque, relatively quiet, very close to airport transit, downtown, Old Montreal, shopping, restaurants, and metro
I found the price and quality of this hotel to be unbeatable. If you're like me, you hate cramped hotel rooms with no where to sit besides the bed and no place to store or prepare any food of your own. This hotel's affordable kitchenette/suite rooms provided exactly what I was looking for. Make sure to get one of the freshly renovated rooms if at all possible - ours was very tastefully done. Marble-tiled bathroom floor was just beautiful. Tall ceilings really make all the rooms spacious and comfortable. In-room wireless was good, and the housekeeping staff is excellent - room was spotless and stocked with towels, dishes, etc. every day. King-sized bed was so comfortable, and featured quality pillows and linens. The penthouse pool is small but has a gorgeous panoramic view, and the adjacent workout facilities were impressive - lots of treadmills, bikes, and resistance training machines. Perfect location, too. Will absolutely stay here next time!

Fabulous for family!

Our kids loved the size of the suite. The ceilings are even high adding to the feeling of space. Plenty if room for kids to play and adults to rest after sightseeing. It is great to have a full kitchen, the pool is also refreshing after a day of walking around the city. The hotel is close to the subway and you can get to any tourist site easily. The staff is very helpful and friendly!!!

Good location right in the middle of Montreal :

Pros: Clean, Quiet and nice staff.
Cons: Swimming pool
Location: see above
Nice short vacation from work for my wife and daughter. We go by train from Toronto VIA at 9.25 and arrive 14.23. The hotel is a 7/ 10 min .walk for a check in at 15.00. The rooms are very large and very nice in all aspects. The only fault is with the swimming pool as the chlorine is so strong you cannot stay in very long before the eyes start to burn. The complementary breakfast does not have any eggs or bacon, just toast and coffee etc. The ladies did a lot of shopping for clothes of course while I enjoyed the scene around me. Stayed three nights, took a bus tour on Sunday for 3.5 hours ( $50 ea.) which takes you around to the city's main attractions. .

The hotel is surprisingly close to everything.

Pros: Where it is located, the cleanliness of the rooms, the high ceilings, did not hear a thing when sleeping. The breakfast being included.
Cons: I would like creamers in my room or whiteners for the coffee. In the kitchenette we weren't sure if the dishes should be done by us.
Location: You can walk to just about anything and if you get tired, you can flag a cab or hop a bus. Check out the best pie place called Rockaberry's
The rooms are very large and spacious. We had a kitchenette. I would tell you to bring your own cream for your coffee. There was no whiteners for the coffee and apparently they don't supply it in the roroms. They also supply lotion but at the front desk by request only. Staff was courteous and helpful, I would actually give them a 4 1/2 as there is always room for improvement but they were smiling and friendly. The pool was smaller than it shows. I thought it was the kids pool but it was warm and there are two whirlpool attachements in the pool that you can rest your back on. The shower is open (no door on it) so you can't change there and have to go through the exercise room to change your bathing suit and you will want to do this as the halls are very cold. The beds were hard but I had an excellent sleep and so did my other friends. The breakfast which is included had lots of choices. There is a terrace area that runs around the pool and I think this would be wonderful in the summer to sit out and enjoy the scenery of the city lights. We went up in the daytime to look out over the city and get some fresh air. It is very close to the train station cost about $6.00 by cab but you could walk it if you wanted to. Restaurants are all around the area. The one that is in the hotel room was good. All around an excellent location, for the price. I would highly recommend your stay there.

Comfortable and well located

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Size or rooms, location
Cons: The kitchens are not particularly well equipped.
Location: This hotel is downtown, close to St. Catherine, McGill, and a short walk from the train station.
This is a nice suite hotel that would appear to have once been an institutional building of some sort. The lobby is small but functional, the staff are quite nice, and the rooms are great. I was given a very, very large room with two double king beds. Many (all?) rooms, including mine, have small kitchens which is a nice touch if staying for more than a day or two. Breakfast was included in the cost of my room and was OK but not great.

Great location

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: location and spacious rooms
Cons: just bedding - need to upgrade sheets/mattress
Location: Right near St. Catharines, metro, museums, Bell Centre, and lots of great restaurants with a range of prices all within a 10 minute walk
Perfect location, great staff, spacious rooms, great exercise room, ok pool and bedding needs to be updated.
