Fab location for downtown Montreal

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Location, room
Cons: Valet service. Delay in getting car, valet gave attitude (you have to give us 10 min - OK we have been waiting over 15 min and you chat with guy)
Location: Shops, restaurants, Bell Center, McGill University campus. Also great for business trips.
Wonderful downtown location and rooms are very comfortable, roomy (ask for high floor). Not the most accessible via car as you have to temporarily park around the corner (cannot pull up in front of hotel) and then valet will take your car. Nice bar. Oddly, front doors lock at 11pm so you need the room key to get into the building/elevator/room. Friendly reception staff - very helpful.

le st martin hotel particulier, downtown montreal

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: proximity to everything you need: restaurants, bars, metro/subway, and lots of shopping
Cons: the front desk/check in area/staff. they kinda made us feel like we did not belong and check in was at 4 and the room was still not ready
other than the unorganized/judge mental staff at the front desk, everything was good!

Great Find at a Great Price

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros:
We recently stayed for 6 days at the St Martin on our first trip to Montreal. The room was very comfortable and quiet during the evenings. The breakfasts at the hotel were exemplary. The site is within walking distance of many other great restaurants and shopping. We will definitely return to this hotel for future visits to Montreal.

lovely styling good downtown, university location

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Cons: Staff commitment to service and their customers
Found desk staff to be short and demeaning when I asked a couple of questions about local events. As well we got the bums rush at check out with phone calls asking if we left and how much longer.

Great place for stay in Montreal

We loved the bedroom. The front desk staff were very helpful on local information and restaurants. And the kids had fun in the outdoor pool area.

Pros: Everybody was nice, really chill, they were not over bearing, trying to much
Cons: Honnestly, the valet uniform,
Location: It s central downtown, if you like That kind of crowd, very busy during the day and full of businessman and tourist
We enjoyed everything!!!! We tried our Luck for the check in, we arrived at 11 am!!! The staff welcome us, even if we were 5 hours earlyer and they even find a Room for us.

Contemporary Comfort

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Location, staff and restaurant. Lovely room.
Cons: Maybe I am just getting old but the lighting in both the bathroom and bedroom is very dim!!! The daily Wifi log in is tedious and slow.
Location: Walking the neighborhoods as well as Old Montreal.. St Catherine street, Baton Mouche,ParkRoyal, St Joseph's Oratory, Marche Jean Talon.
We spent four nights at Le St. Martin and only have great feelings regarding our stay. Easy access by car with onsite parking for a fee. We ended up returning our car once we were settled as we did not leave the city. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with great shower, tub, and comfy King bed. The onsite restaurant is excellent. We ate both dinner and breakfast here. Fun restaurants within walking distance, as well as walkable to Old Town Montreal. Metro across the street for further afield access. We spent 5 nights at Le St Martin and found it very comfortable and pleasing. It was easily accessable by car and has onsite parking for a fee.We were greeted cheerfullly and the front desk staff welcoming and helpfull. Our King size room was impeccably clean and we loved the huge bathroom. The shower had great water pressure and there is also a wonderful stand alone soaker tub, as well as magnified make up mirror, and great counter space. The room was very quiet while facing the street. The onsite restaurant is excellent and very accomodating with menu changes. One night we came in very late and just wanted something lite and we were graciously helped. The hotel is well situated for walking to the old town as well as to nearby neighborhoods, and if one feels a little tired the Metro is across the street as well as the taxi line. Overall an excellent stay.
