Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain

The hotel was comfortable and well situated in the downtown area, close to main attractions and the staff was friendly and attentive. The one criticism we had was the about pool area. The temperature of the pool was frigid (in June!) and the temperature of the hot tub was lukewarm. No wonder these weren't well used. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant and we would consider staying here again.

While Im sure this hotel is great for business travelers, they nickel and dime you for every possoble extra. The "free wireless internet" is one at an inferior speed but they are nice enough yo let you pay extra for an adequate speed service. The local calls are also an extra expense. To be out of the country staying at a hotel charging over $200 per night I did not expect to get a further bill for almost 6 dollars for placing two local calls to make reservations. The staff is friendly and the location very easy to navigate the city but I would recommend it only to business travelers that have their companies picking up the tab.

Everything we hoped for-amazing staff, clean, comfortable, conveniently located for both walking and using public transportation. The concierge staff were very helpful and never seemed to mind our many questions. Besides a full service restaurant on site there were several coffee shop type options for a quick breakfast to go!

Nice hotel, very comfortable, good location. Walking distance to Bell center and train station. Bathroom is too small compared with the size of the suite.

Perfect and convenient location. Metro is underneath the hotel! Short metro ride from downtown Montreal. 2nd time I've stayed at this hotel, 1st was for my bachelorette and 2nd with my husband for Memorial Day! Plus staff was so great from the bell boy, wait staff, to concierge!

The hotel was generally fine although it could use some upkeep It is starting to show it's age. There was a debate about who should get the tip for getting the car, the car attendant or the concierge. Customers should give the tip to the person of their choice. you could have a tip sharing system if you so chose. I shouldn't be told. I can't take this tip or I will get in trouble" Thanks. JP Suys

The staff is very friendly. Rooms on pictures seem larger than they are in real life. Water in the pool is freezing. Overall our stay was OK but I cannot give my review 5 stars due to additional charges like internet.

The staff was great and the room was very nice, the only bad thing have to say was the heater for the heated pool did not work so could not swim...

It was rainy while we were in Montreal but being able to stay in this comfortable and lovely hotel made the entire trip incredibly romantic. All of the rooms have gorgeous views of Mont Royal or downtown; ours looked straight at the park. The metro is accessible from the hotel - it's just an elevator ride down from the main lobby. This also connects to the RESO - the "underground city," that allows for convenient indoor travel to many other places of interest when it's too cold/rainy.

Heat facilities, near ground transportation, ie subway, buses and train station. We would stay there whenever in town.
