“Great Place to Stay in Old Montreal”
If you want to stay in fun, clean, hip hotel in middle of Old Montreal, this is the place. Great lounge downstairs and rooftop bar.
“Great stay at the Nelligan”
Great luxury hotel in the center of old Montreal. The service was excellent, the room was a good size, clean and stylish. The bed was extremely comfortable. Free Wifi was very convenient. This is a great business hotel.
“Definitely want to go back.”
The hotel was located by the seaway in a charming section of Montreal. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My room was fabulous: clean, comfortable, large with a sitting area and fireplace, as well as a view. I would definitely stay here again.
“Hotel Nelligan”
A very nice stay
“wonderful hotel”
Hotel is fabulous, luxurious, pristine. Food good at restaurants and roof. But the best thing about the hotel is the staff that can't do enough for you from front dest, to concierge to maids. Outstanding and worth every penny. And did i mention a great location in Old Montreal?
“Great Hotel!”
Loved this hotel! Desk staff very accomodating, room was very spacious. Great location for walking to restaurants and easy access to the metro. Nice rooftop bar and Verses Restaurant. Two restaurants we enjoyed - Le Club Chasse et Peche and Barroco, both within walking distance of the hotel but away from the tourist crowd. Loved Montreal and can't wait to return.
“very impressed”
Superb location, comfortable and trendy boutique hotel, great staff. Perfect for a Montreal holiday.
“Nice, but noisy”
A beautiful hotel in a great area, but with a very popular restaurant/reception area on the ground floor and a very happening rooftop terrace, the place is very noisy. I asked for a quiet room, and was given a room adjacent to the elevator and facing the interior courtyard, which made for quite a bit of noise until the bar closed on the first floor at 3am.
“Disappointed”
Everything about this hotel was great. In reading the reviews, I'd agree it was 5 stars all around - except the room. After all if you can't be comfortable enough in your room to sleep at night, what's the point of having a room? The weather in Montreal was hot and sad to say the room was equally stifling. No air - cold or moving. We did call housekeeping and the solution was to lower the thermostat. Wish it were that simple - that did not work. The room was beautiful and well appointed - just unbearable to sleep in.
“A Vieux Montréal Staple”
Hotel Nelligan is a four star, class A hotel that I highly recommend. It is located in a prime location in Vieux (Old) Montreal just a few short blocks from the neighborhood's busiest tourist section, Place Jacques Cartier, and adjacent to the block dominated by Montreal's Notre Dame cathedral. Surrounded by restaurants, shops, and fellow hotels, the Nelligan is just the right amount of busy and peaceful to keep you stimulated when you want to, but relaxed when you need the rest. Not content remaining in Vieux Montreal for your entire stay? Montreal's stellar Metro system is accessible at Station Place d'Armes just 3 blocks from the hotel (a 5-minute walk), and if you have the time and the weather is nice, most of central Montreal is within an easy 20-40 minute walk. Hang around on the spectacular, though perhaps a bit cramped, terrasse on the roof when it isn't raining, and you'll understand why this hotel has become such a mainstay. My one gripe: no pool.
