“Smoked Meat and Poutine”
It was nice and comfortable. Very convenient. Parking is too expensive at $20/day.
“Nice for cheap hotel”
Nice enough for a cheap hotel in downtown Montreal, walking distance to Bell Center where I was going, but right across street from YMCA homeless shelter so bit noisy at night and no parking ($20 paid for parking in open lot next to hotel). Nothing special but suited my purposes.

“Great location, poor Quality "in"”
You will be on Crescent St between the commercial St-Catherine (the best part of the street) and Rene Levesque. Drawback: noise. The hotel seems to have been refurbished very recently. The room had all brand new furniture, with those excellent, hard-to-get-up-in-the-morning Simmons Beautyrest, a modern LCD TV with broad choice of cable channels, a desk with comfortable chair, and fine lamps with plugs on them. The bathroom was acceptable, nice big bath with shower, a big counter with space to put your toiletries, and a wall-sized mirror. All the rooms have balcony and a good heating / air conditioning system. Not-locking door!: we realized that the door of the room was not locking automatically. We were quite bothered by this, since we were leaving all our belongings in the room during the day; at the front desk they told us it was because of the paint they used in the recent refurbish. Conclusion, you need to slam the door to make sure it's closed and locked. Room key: they are cards as everywhere nowadays, but twice they were not working and we had to go get them re-done: in both times, they just gave us a new cards with even asking us any prove. Cleaning: first day, the cleaning was very good we met the maid and she was nice. After that, the room was not deeply clean anymore (though I guess fair enough). Last day, the woman left us a message saying that "because of the weekend + holiday" she couldn't leave us more towels (we were 3). Complete review in TripAdvisor
“7/9/11 Quality Inn (Rue Crescent - Montreal)”
This was my 3rd and most enjoyable stay at this location. The room was clean and the bathroom looked recently renovated, it was very large & roomy. We arrived at around 12:30pm, but unfortunately couldn't check in til 3pm. But the woman at the front desk took my request for a Crescent St. facing high floor (for the balcony/view) and told us she could hold our bags until we check in at 3... which was very helpful. For the price and location this hotel is a steal. I would not only recommend it to others, but intend on staying here again in the future.
“Good value for the money”
The lobby was still being renovated. The free breakfast is a piece of toast with jam and butter. Every thing else, you have to pay for. The air conditioner is very noisy. The neighborhood is typical downtown with few drunk people voiding in the alleys.
“Definitely a budget hotel”
I gave Quality Inn Downtown a neutral review because I went into it not expecting much. I knew from previous reviews that Quality Inn Downtown was a bit shabby. Sure enough, the bathroom ceiling was peeling and moldy as described in previous reviews. However, the room was serviceable and it was a decent budget hotel in downtown Montreal. The staff there was hit-or-miss. The woman who checked us in was very pleasant, and we later chatted with the nice woman who cleaned our room. We had one incident of poor service: we came in soaking wet from a thunderstorm and were looking forward to getting into our room. When we got to our floor, our key card didn't work. My companion was steamed but I tried to take it with a grain of salt. We went back to the lobby to speak with the woman (a girl really) at the desk. She didn't give us a satisfactory explanation - I am guessing from what she mumbled that the room keys automatically expire after two days even though we were registered for more than that. She was talking to another staff member while she fiddled with the key and her computer, then put the key back on the counter in front of me without any explanation. I had to ask her if the key was reactivated. I don't know if this poor service was because she was young and clueless, but it was annoying nonetheless. In summary: be prepared for a budget hotel and inconsistent service.
“Good Location”
This hotel is a great location with reasonable pricing. Just basic - not fancy. Don't expect service, ie you take your own bags to your room. Desk Service is very slow. The room key cards do not hold information. I made two trips from the 10th floor to get re-keyed. The hotel is right in the center of night life. It is a 10 minute walk to Mont Real,a five minute walk to the Art Museum - I saw the IMAGINE and NAPOLEON exhibits for free - a real treat, a 15 minute walk to McGill University with a great juice bar. Lots of great shopping nearby. Cabs are frequent, just don't get one if the garbage truck is in front of your cab - you pay for the wait. My room was spacious.
“All Dar Weekend”
I was at the All Star weekend in Montreal over the 23-26 of January of 2009.Hotel is in great location bars clubs on same street.Staf is very freindly
