"Excellent location"
Most helpful was location. We could not get GPS in Canada and location of the hotel was our light house. I wish lovely family taking better care and pride of what they own. Breakfast was small but I really appreciate toast with peanut butter and jelly along with coffee in the morning. It was cheapest hotel I can find in this area but in US for this money and similar area I would find much better deal.

"Great location and great rooms"
Just walking into the place makes you feel like you've made a great choice. It's a grand entryway and the staff greet you with smiles and "what can we do"s. The bar and restaurant are top shelf and it's reasonable priced, which is refreshing for a luxury hotel. The elevators are quick too. My room was a good size and super clean. The TV was modern, the beds obscenely comfortable with 2 different firmnesses of pillows which is brilliant (one between the knees and one for the noggin. The bathroom was nothing short of amazing. Marble, shiny, awesome full body mirror, and glass wall shower> The turn-down service was perfect; when I got back to my hotel after a meal and too much wine, I found my way into the room and it was tidied up and classical music was quietly playing from the Bose stereo system. It was heavenly. Also, the cleaning staff must be invisible. I would leave mid morning and come back just after noon and everything was spic and span.

"Very nice, well within walking distance of points"
Hotel staff was very accommodating, so was staff in breakfast room and bar. Rooms were pleasant and quiet. An additional pleasant feature was the small kitchen, fully supplied. Did not use it very much this time, but will during future visits. Can well recommend the facilities to others and will certainly do so. Found the cost of staying very reasonable indeed and the location excellent.

"Excellent Location..beautiful hotel..great service"
My husband and I flew in for a hockey game from Niagara Falls and this hotel was recommended by a friend. We had our honeymoon 26 years ago and wanted to revisit some of our favourite locations. We were very pleased with the location, right across the street from the Metro and withing walking distance to the Bell Centre and also lots of great shops and restaurants. The accomodations were excellent and was the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. Rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. An outdoor heated pool was really nice. The staff were always visible and helpful in assisting with any of our requests. We did more in 2 days then we expected because of the great convenience of this hotel. The taxi ride to the airport was 15 minutes. We will definately be coming back and recommending this hotel to our friends. Merci to the staff at Le St Martin!

"Really modern hotel"
My girlfriend and I were visiting Montreal for a weekend to attend a wedding at the Science Center. I saw Hotel Zero 1 on Expedia and thought it looked nice and was in my price range. We were stuck in traffic on the 401 so called ahead to let them know we would be checking in late. This was not an issue. We arrived about 1am. There was no parking around, so I called from my car and asked where I could park. I received instructions about the valet and left my car on the street. There were a lot of bars around and drunk people in line-ups. Some guy washing car windows and asking for money too. This doesn't really bother me but it may bother some people. There was also a lot of police around. We checked in to the hotel with no problems. Very impressed with the room, very modern, lots of mirrors, very clean looking. I really liked the bathroom.

    Montreal Hotel Guide

Far from the sea, Montreal is an unusual island. At the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and Ottawa rivers, it is both a geographical and a cultural intersection, where river meets river, French meets English, and waves of cultural riches overlap leaving you with a myriad of things to do in Montreal.

Montreal takes its name from Mount Royal, which is the hill at the heart of the city. The park on the hill is the city's largest green space and it was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York City's Central Park. Stay at one of the downtown Montreal hotels to enjoy the spectacular views. The park's Kondiaronk Belvedere offers a postcard view of downtown Montreal, with its skyscrapers, bright lights, and lattice of roads. Take eye-catching pictures of this view and more on the Montreal photography tour while you are on your Montreal vacation.

    Some like it cool

How you spend your time in Montreal may be determined by the weather. The city gets colder than Moscow in winter and weather forecasts include wind chill, which might convince you to view the winter wonderland from a cozy bar with a roaring fire. Montreal resorts are equipped to entertain you on those chilling days. If you want to brave the cold, put on your warmest clothes and join the Montrealians as they indulge in wintery pleasures. During La Fête des Neiges (the snow festival), the Parc Jean-Drapeau is transformed into a vast snow and ice playground, and you can ski through the Mount Royal Park or ice skate at the Bonsecours Basin in the Old Port. Arctic temperatures are also a good reason to go shopping in Montreal's underground city, which contains over 2,000 shops. A flight to Montreal – or even a cruise - is worth discovering first hand, what this city has to offer during the cool and hot seasons.

    Some like it hot

With Montreal's busy festival calendar, there's always a unique time to visit the city. When the weather heats up in June and July, so does the music at Montreal's legendary jazz festival. Book your hotels in Montreal, Canada to get the best Montreal hotel deals for the best hotels in Montreal before they sell out. The city becomes a living, breathing jazz machine, with outdoor concerts, world-class musicians, and over two million enthusiastic listeners. July is also the time to secure a fountain-side spot for the Just for Laughs comedy festival.

See Montreal by bike and you'll gain a sense of its distinctive districts so you can pick out in which area you would like to stay next time you visit Montreal. Hotels in Montreal are ready in each and every part of town for you. Downtown, skyscrapers including the Stock Exchange Tower stretch high into the clouds, and the main shopping street Rue Sainte Catherine runs east to west through its center. Cross the cobbled streets of old Montreal and you'll find outdoor cafés, bohemian boutiques, and buildings which date back to the 17th century. Montreal hotels are nestled in-between it all. Eat the best bagels in the city in Mile End, a neighborhood as popular for its live music and art galleries as its bakeries. Montreal is recognized for its microbreweries, and has the longest licenses in the country, so there's plenty of time to sample some real ale. Night owls can take their luckiest Canadian loonies to the Casino de Montréal to play the slot machines and table games. Don’t hold back on car rentals in Montreal to discover the city’s outskirts, too.

The multinational fabric of Montreal's communities means that there's a huge array of cuisines to try, but you can't leave without tasting Quebec's famed concoction of chips, gravy, and cheese (or 'poutine', as it's known locally). It might not be a recipe you'll take home, but memories of this and all that you've seen in the city will be worth holding on to.
