The property is older but in pretty good condition. It was clean and the staff was excellent. But why do they leave all the windows open in the pool/hot tub area. It was freezing in there and made the experience awful. Otherwise, a good spot for a few nights in Cedaredge.

Good but disappointed
I've been staying at this property for years. The staff continues to be very friendly. And although the hotel is clean the rooms need updates. I forgot my own pillow, which is a big mistake. You get numerous pillows on the bed, But they are all very worn, lumpy and flat. There was a noise issue with other guests that I don't recall in the past. Luckily it ended by the time I was ready to go to sleep. The outlets need to be replaced. I had to use a folded up coffee envelope just so my plugins would stay in the outlet. There are very limited options in this area, and I wish there was more effort in upgrading the guest rooms.

This is an older property, but it's clean and the staff is as friendly as they can be and do all they can to keep the guests happy. They do a great job.

Plastic bathtub creaked badly in rm 210. Need to put more electrical outlets near bed & desk (lights with outlets!) Had to rearrange furniture to use cpap machine while sleeping.

Great!
Can’t say enough about the hospitality. I came down with food poisoning (on vacation). Called to see if we could get an early checkin since I was so sick. They let us check in at 11:00am! Great front desk clerk. The room itself was neat, clean, no problems. Only thing I saw that could use an upgrade was the outside landscaping.

From the outside it looks a bit run down, so I had misgivings as I approached. My misgivings were misplaced. This is staffed by a hard working crew that runs a clean hotel. Breakfast was a treat with omelets prepared for the individual guest.

I made a reservation for a pet friendly hotel and room. I called and confirmed with Exuperia and the hotel to ensure I had that type of room, when I arrived, I was told that there were no pet friendly rooms available. When i got into the room the smoke detector battery was pulled out and empty, the carpet had large material rolls in it as it was not stretched to fit the room, the kitchen area had 4 lights 1 over the stove, 1 over the sink, 1 over the entrance door on north side of the room, and 1 over the connector door from the bedroom to the kitchen. This was the only light working which left the room very dark.. No trash can liners in the kitchen trashcan, the refrigerator when you opened the door to get in tilted forward forcing contents to roll out. The floor was dirty, and the air-conditioner drew it's make up air from the laundry room which filled the room with the smell of bleach ect. Other than batteries for the smoke detector nothing was done to change anything. When I asked the manager to possibly adjust my room rate she said she would had to check with the owner. I asked if I could contact his office, she said no she could not give out that information. I was there for an event and had no other lodging available to me. You and the hotel have taken advantage of me and not operated in good faith..

we apologize for any issues you had with us but we went through the room and check the page long list of things you thought was wrong with the room. a battery was placed in the smoke detector when you let us know it was missing and the lights work just fine. we are in the middle of updating the rooms and your room hadn't gotten the new flooring yet. other wise everything else was fine. we have not control over the reservation YOU made online. we never got a call or email from you to see if the room was pet friendly because if we did we would have told you it wasn't. we offered to switch you guys rooms and you told us no you wanted this room. we tried to make it work for you guys but there was no way to get you in a pet room as they where all booked up and had been for over 3 months. we understand you wanted to talk to the owner but we cant give out his personal number out that is why we gave you his email so you could get ahold of him about your grievances. the way you treated our staff was very rude and uncalled for as they only tried to help but you did not like any options we gave you, in fact the more options we gave the more upset you got. we tried the best we could to remedy the issue but we can let dogs in a non pet room. we where fully booked for this event and couldn't make it work. I'm sorry you left upset and disappointed in your stay. if you have any questions feel free to call or email us.

The staff was very friendly, we appreciated the homemade cookies and popcorn. Sip on main is a charming place that makes staying at this hotel worth it. The place needs a bit of an update, it is very brown.

Best place in Cedaredge
Savanah, who checked us in and ran the dining area for breakfast was perfect in every way. Breakfast omelet and fruit with yogurt, wonderful. Our room however, smelled of either stale smoke or old carpet cleaner. Even with the window open for 2 days didn’t do the trick. Would have changed rooms, but no other King Beds available. I stayed here last fall and it was fantastic. Just bad timing this time.

Great ladies at the front desk! Room was quiet and comfortable. Location is good for visiting Grand Mesa and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. We recommend eating at the Lost Mesa Grill in Cedar Edge. Food is excellent.
