“Great place to stay”

My experience with this motel was good from start to finish. Friendly employees, clean rooms, convenient location for me. I would definitely stay here again if I am in this area again.

“cool retro hotel surprise at motel 6”

The hotel & room itself were both clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were only there 1 night, but the staff was friendly. The decor in our room was very cool, 1950 retro style and colors. Only issue we had was that our Expedia confirmation called this place "Luxury Hotel", so we had no idea we should be looking for a Motel 6. Building addresses were hard to read, so it took a few turn arounds to find the place.

“Good value”

As the cheapest room we were able to find in the area, we would recommend staying here again if a simple no-frills room at a good price was desired. Our room was clean, quiet, recently refurbished, and met our expectations. An internal hallway left us wishing we there was less distance from our car to our room, and no elevator also left us wishing we had requested a room on first floor, but you get what you pay for.

“Nice and clean”

The room and bath were very clean, although one of the curtains was unhooked from the rod & the hair dryer was missing. Minor things over all. There was a micro wave and fridge included. Not bad at all for the price. Would stay there again.

“Standard Motel”

This was a standard motel experance. The buildings were old but well maintained. The room was very clean, with plenty of hot water. There was a microwave in the entry way, and an ice machine with plenty of ice.

“Locked pool, Smoky smell in halls”

We're budget travelers, so we don't have high demands. But this motel was a little lower in quality than we would have liked. We were in the building in the back, where the indoor pool is found. Everything is run-down. Despite the rooms being nonsmoking, the hallway smelled very smoky. Our room was clean and comfortable though. We did have to devise a clip with the pants hangers to keep the drapes shut for privacy. There is an indoor pool and hot tub, but you have to get the staff to unlock it for you, and it's pretty scuzzy in there. There's also a sauna which was shut down and not very appealing. They've slapped paint over some falling-apart walls and ceilings. Still, I wouldn't say it affected our trip negatively, so if you're looking for a reasonably priced location in Montrose and are willing to settle, and other options aren't good, you could stay here. We do recommend the Red Barn restaurant nearby. Great portions and prices. Loved the omelettes!

“Pretty much what one would expect.”

This hotel was pretty much what one would expect for a Motel 6, i.e., simple room and thin walls. One night noisy kids were in the hallway and kept us awake; the other two nights were quiet.

“Montrose, CO Motel 6”

This hotel was just OK, but I felt the price should be cheaper based on the overall quality of the hotel. The beds were pretty hard with somewhat scratchy sheets and the hair dryer handle would get so hot you needed to hold it with a towel to use it so you wouldn't get burned. We asked for an extra pillow, but they said they had none. Also zero counter space for getting ready in the morning. On the plus side, the TV was a large flat screen, and the floor was laminate, not carpet.
