The lady at the front desk was very nice. The room was on the main street and a little noisy.Try and get the backside of building.Breakfast served its purpose for a 1 night stay.Place could use an interior update, but again it served its purpose for the $$.

Pleasantly SurprisedPosted Sep 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
No frills, but very clean and comfortable for the price. Room was in the back, so no problem with any road noise.

Close to both rimsPosted Sep 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Inexpensive and convenient location to visit both rims of Black Canyon. Kitchen had a tiny cooking range (somehow I missed it in the pictures). Safe was very useful. Not sure if it was just in my room or in all rooms - alarm clock was missing.

A bit shabby and shadowy, but generally OKPosted Aug 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This motel is generally OK. The service is friendly. It is in need of some repairs and upgrades: the AC baffle is broken such that the chilled air is not distributed adequately. This should be obvious to management but, I can only presume, they don't really care. In addition, certain TV channels are mysteriously skipped over as you scroll through with the remote. No amount of fiddling with the largely-unfamiliar menus can fix this. You can access these channels if you directly entered the channel number (though there is no guide to let you know which ones are available, so you just take guesses and hope something good turns up). The suspicious thing is that certain news channels of a certain political orientation are among those which are mysteriously inaccessible by scrolling with the remote. Could it be, as one suspects, that the motel doesn't want you to watch them? Inquiring minds want to know. Open minds prefer to make political decisions for themselves.
