Pros: Courteous staff. Locatioh.
Cons: Cleanliness to rooms. Paint job. New furniture. Remove carpeting.
Location: Sante Fe Trail, for hiking and biking. Monument, Palmer Lake-quaint towns with good shopping and eating. Air Force Academy.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and wouldn't have stayed at all had we had other accomodations closer to our event. Ramada has bought this property from the previous Sundance Mountain Lodge. There has been an attempt to spiff it up but seriously. The rooms had a musty odor, no towels, no hangers, a fridge and microwave from some garage sale. Ramada needs to put some major money into this hotel or it will be closed by summer.

Not what we were expecting

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: Remote location
Cons: upkeep, housekeeping & designated pet towels
Location: Pikes Peak, Garden of the gods
Our room wasnt as nice as all the ones you see online. We arrived at night but it just seemed kind of run down. Worst of all, we had what im assuming was a "pet friendly" room, because after I towel dired my hair it smelled like a wet dog. It was awful.

Nice local place if you are in Monument/Blk Forest

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: Exterior grounds and location
Cons: Better wi-fi, and an improved in room experience
Location: Black Forest, Pikes Peak, C Springs
I have stayed at this property before it was rebranded as a Ramada and the grounds are still very nice and has a resort feel to it in a way. The rooms are not standard cookie cutter rooms and have real furniture. They are a bit older and could use a bit of updating but over all they are pretty nice. A couple minor annoyances like the wall mounted TV doesnt move so you have to be on the bed for a direct view. One trashcan is a bit bothersome rather than one at the desk and one in the john. Other than that I would stay again for the price.

Location: The hotel seemed to be in an odd location off the highway.
We had 3 nights reserved at this hotel. Arrived at hotel at 2:30am, after driving 14hrs strait and ready to sleep, we waited a while at front desk for security to show up, who then proceeded to check us in. Well after 15min of checking in we got our room key and headed to room. The hotel clearly had been taken over by Ramana as there were printed out signs taped up where the old names were - it looked very unprofessional and tacky. The hotel was set up with outside private entries, we parked the car, grabbed our bags and ran to the room as it was raining out. I opened the room do to see lights on, were hit by an awful smell and could see the bedding tore down slept in and trash on floor.. We then needed to go back to our car and drive to the front to get a new room. We had reserved a king which must have been the last one because he said the only thing he could offer was two fulls, tired we agreed. The new room smelled better although wasn't pleasant, it was old, outdated, and not cleaned well. The room shown on the website is clearly an updated newer room and what we were given was an old room which I would not have agreed to stay at. We slept a few short hours to wake and check out, even though our room was non-refundable we chose to find a new hotel. Upon checking out the front desk didn't even ask how our stay was, or why we were leaving early. I have not stayed at a Ramada before, and wont again.

Had to leave a day earlier thsn I expected and was told I couldn't get a refund. Desk clerk was not friendly or helpful. Tv would turn off and had to wait for awhile before it turn back on. Was never told thank you for staying there. Hot water would stop when taking a shower.

Very Disappointed

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: The margaritas.
Cons: The website said that the hotel was newly renovated...maybe don't rent out rooms until renovation is complete.
Location: Rosies diner has very good breakfasts. Cute diner.
When we arrived at the hotel we were pleased by the lobby. It was clean. We did arrive too early to check in, but that wasn't the problem. When it was finally time to check in, the personnel was very slow. When we finally got our keys and went into the room, this is where our disappointment started. The room was dark and dingy. It had multiple patches of plaster on the walls, in the bathroom and by the beds. The room seemed clean, but after not having maid service for 3 days while we were there, I highly doubt it. After 3 days of no maid service, we inquired at the front desk. That's when they told us that we had to put out a sign on the door. We had no sign for the cleaning crew. The room was on the cooler side. No heat in the bathroom. We had a sliding glass door in our room. It had no working lock on it. All that was keeping intruders out was a stick in the door. The lock on the room door that if someone is at the door you can open it just a little was broken. The continental breakfast was horrible. The eggs were rubbery. The bacon and sausage was cold. The only thing that was good was the canned fruit. Needless to say we did not eat there the rest of our stay.

Hiking boots needed

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: Looked and felt old, build a new one.
The layout of this place is absurbed . Built on a hillside at this altitude. What were they thinking? Lost my reservation . gave me a room on the bottom tier so it's all down hill and it's outside (in the rain), Having had polio ,I found it difficult to assend and decend all the stairs and ramps to go to and from.

Don't stay here.

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything else.
This hotel is in desperate need of updating and housekeeping. The lobby was packed with people trying to change their rooms last weekend. Our bed felt like a box spring.
