This hotel exceeded my expectations. In particular the reception team went out of their way to make our stay a very happy one. I am definitely going back.

Great hotel for business, or family.Posted Jul 16, 2012
Very helpful team. For extended business trip. Had them tested on a variety of issues ranging from getting shipment off customs to getting a suit fixed. No mission was impossible for the hospital personal. All done with grace and smile. A rare gem. I recommend it

Hotel de la Ville is a first class hotelPosted May 29, 2012
Pros: The efficiency of the fantastic staff
Location: Great location, very close to Milan.
All the staff at the hotel (in particular Ali) made us feel very welcome, they booked taxis for us, gave us good directions to and from Milan/Monza. The hotel room was kept spotless and the bathroom was pristine. The food that was served in The Derby Grill was excellent and the waiters were fantastic. Breakfast was just as good. Hotel de la Ville is a first class hotel and I will definitely be returning.

Fab!Posted May 28, 2012
Pros: Attentive staff
Cons: No tea/coffee making facilities in room
Location: Directly opposite Villa Realti & Monza Park. 10 minute walk from central Monza.
A fantastic hotel, full of character and with discreet, attentive service a key characteristic. The food in the restaurant was superb and the location ideal for exploring Monza and Monza Park.

worse hotel ever sayed inPosted Apr 26, 2012
Cons: reception staff
Location: surrounding ghetto
The worse hotel I have ever stayed in in over 25 years. The reception staff were unprofessional and consistently unhelpful. The hotel location in Monza was frankly seedy and unsafe. On arrival at the hotel I had to repeatedly ask for a map of the area as the rec staff seemed to be unwilling to provide even the most basic of information. They were equally dismissive when I asked about public transport links as if this request was "alien" I felt this surprising since Milan is a major city with major trade and business links. In fact I felt aghast that I was treated like a " commoner" when I expressed a desire to visit Milan. I could secure no literature about transport links places to visit local restaurants places of interest . Similarly the room had no information about how to contact reception / emergency medical facilities / other hotel facilities such as sauna gym etc. With respect to the room I would struggle to conclude this was 4 star I can assume the person rating this hotel had access to a different room. The marble floor tiles were cracked in the bathroom the hairdryer didnt work the socket in the bathroom was hanging off the wall and was frankly unsafe by electrical standards and the room had obviously last been dusted in the same era as the antiques that were decor . An appalling experience alround
