A private pool that is not so privatePosted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was just ok. We expected to have much more privacy while using the "private pool" in our room. We picked this location specifically for that amenity. The fence was next to the pool was high enough but the fence across from the pool was really low. It was not a "private pool" in terms of privacy. It was a separate pool for your own use only but not private... Also, I thought it was suppose to be a jacuzzi type small spa but it was just a regular spa size pool with no other features (no jets, no heat, nothing). The activities desk and concierge close at 5pm so if you don't book everything before that, you won't have any activities the next day. Other hotels have the desk open until 9pm or 10pm. Ok place to stay but not worth the price we paid.

Beautiful property, not so great servicePosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The property was amazing and the people at the front desk were awesome! Unfortunately there was a bartender at the bar during Happy Hour that should not be in the Customer Service Business. 1st we were told that Happy hour had 1/2 price drinks, but when my wife went to order 1 she made her get 2 and said it was 2 for 1 only. We found out that this wasn't true, because the gentleman that helped us the following day was told us that we were right and she might have been trying to up charge us for a bigger tip/bill. In addition to that, she made everyone there feel as if she was doing them a favor for being there. Aside from that experience everyone was very kind. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. Only other issue was, that the food wasn't very good. The hotel needs to hire a new chef. Everything they made was bland and tasteless. It's the perfect sheeting for a romantic vacation!

Exactly what we wantedPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: The staff were all super friendly and very service-oriented. Loved the pool.
We stayed in a deluxe garden bungalow and it was exactly what we wanted. It was roomy, well appointed and comfortable and nice and private.

Great snorkeling here. Front desk staff is exceptional, but the restaurant staff made some mistakes on the food orders, and because everything is so crazy expensive, that's a problem.

Beautiful MooreaPosted May 16, 2013
Great location, wonderful staff, great snorkeling right off our bungalow. We rented a car that gave us a tremendous amount of freedom to go and do whatever we wanted. Moorea is the most beautiful island we've ever seen.

fun, but only for a short stintPosted May 8, 2013
Pros: Service and overall quality were superb, a real luxury resort destination.
Cons: Pretty much everything is grossly overpriced, $9 small tin of Pringles from minibar, $23 for a basic salad.
Location: Beautiful but isolated. hire a scooter for cheap to see more of the island, but the Hilton doesn't provide much to facilitate getting out & about.
Great experience overall, but don't stay more than a few days. Quality of the hotel was brilliant and the service fantastic, the beach and bungalows are amazing but where it falls down is the food. Firstly its super expensive and secondly there are limited choices, we got room service every night and never once ate in the hotel for dinner because the menu was so overpriced and bland looking! Even the buffet just didn't look worth it for $80 a head. If you're smart you can find cheaper eats such as ordering delivery pizza from Allo Pizza or wandering down the road to Lilikoi Garden Cafe for an awesome value lunch. Other than that there is not a lot around, the hotel is pretty far away from everything. So again, great for 3-5 days, not 10.

Perfect AnniversaryPosted Apr 29, 2013
Pros: Idyllic setting on a picture perfect lagoon
Cons: Very expensive but worth every penny
We returned to this hotel after a five-year absence to celebrate our thirtieth wedding anniversary (we had come to Tahiti on our honeymoon). We could not have asked for anything more from the hotel and its staff. The setting is drop-dead gorgeous, particularly if you are staying in an over-water bungalow. The staff caters to your every whim and the island treated us very well by supplying spectacular sunrises and sunsets almost every day! When people talk about not wanting their vacations to ever end, they are talking about our week at this hotel.
