Nice Hotel

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: Location, away from the town
Food is excellent but pricey. Staff are very polite and responsive. Size of room is excellent, but full of ants crawling around on desk and coffee table. We think this was caused by fresh flowers.

Dear Guests, I am happy to hear that you appreciated our facilities and the kindness of all staff. As you noticed, Moorea is very untouched and wild. This also explains the increase presence and diversity of fauna and flora which are inevitably part of any natural environments. Thank you for your comment and your understanding. We hope to see you back one day. Sincerely, The Management

Perfect location, the beach front bungalows were perfect for our small child to play in the lagoon. Accommodating and kind staff. Food is underwhelming--ice cream sundae was the highlight.

Beautiful setting

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, options for things to do, setting
Cons: Nothing
Location: as per above
Resort is large but very spread out, so you don't get the feeling of crowding. In fact while it was fully booked, you sometimes wondered where everyone was. All the staff from valets, reception, concierge & bar/dining areas are so friendly & helpful. We rented bikes (on site) for a couple of hours to tour small village 10 mins away. Took 4x4 ATV (Moorea Tours) for 3 1/2 hours & really enjoyed seeing the island from its high points & learning about it. My wife also swam with the on-site dolphins. It's expensive for 1/2 hour, but it's something she's always wanted to do & she thoroughly enjoyed it. There's snorkelling tours as well..we swam with staingrays & sharks. The freshwater pool is beautiful along with a well maintained beach. Lots of choice for dining. We had continental breakfast included, but it ended up being an "American" breakfast, ie eggs made to order, bacon, sausage, in addition anything you could think of that you may want for breakfast, fruits, cold cuts, cheese, pastries, cereals, etc, etc. We were not in a bungalow but in one of the main buildings - only 2 stories high, so very quaint. Our room looked over the pool, beach & dining areas...was fantastic to sit out on our balcony & enjoy the view. Attended one of the 3 special events of the week which included Polynesian dances, music & fire throwing dancers. All in all we had a super time!!

Lua de mel em outubro

Posted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com

Cons: The bed and couches were extremely hard (like being on a wooden plank)
We had a beachfront bungalow(314), which was in a great location; close enough to the main building so as not to have too long of a walk, yet far enough to feel secluded. Did not have a lot of foot traffic past our stretch of beach and it is very hard sand, but felt like it the best spot for scenery(especially since two wedding parties took photos in front of our hut). It definitely helps if you know french so you don't feel out of place, but almost the entire staff speaks decent (or at least broken) English. The food and drink prices are atrocious, so you'll definitely want to go to the grocery store (ABC store) in Le Petit Village, as well as dine out if you can. Our favorite spot for lunch was Snack Mahana (best known for their Poisson Cru, though the fried Parrot Fish was awesome too). We went to the Tiki Village show which was nice; it was a good show, but the food was just ok (it was an overall good experience, but expensive at $215 for two). We also did the AquaBlue Tour; a great experience (a little overwhelming at first, but very fun and worth the money, about $150). Best advise is use the concierge and book a couple days ahead, because everyone has odd days and hours of operation.

Dear guest Ia Orana from Moorea ! First of all we would like to thank you for choosing the InterContinental for your stay in Moorea. It was a pleasure to welcome you and we are happy to hear that you have brought back with you some positive memories of your stay. As for your comments on our rates, we shall remind you that due to its isolation French Polynesia remains an expensive destination. However we can assure you that in this environment our hotel provides a very good quality for price compared to our competitors. Thanking you again for your stay and comments. Best Regards

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment and your stay at our Hotel. Let me clarify that the mother tongue in French Polynesia is Tahitian or French. However, a large majority of our employees speak very well English and we keep on training our staff on improving their English skills Hope to welcome you again. Sincerely,

Brilliant Resort on Moorea

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: nothing at this time
Location: On the sea and coral lagoon with a great beach and beautiful infinity pool and bar as well. Great sunsets from there too.
This hotel has all the amenities and activities you could wish for at a sea resort. Take the Ameriti 2 ferry to cross from Papeete to Moorea - safe and fast and you get to see stuff. The hotel concierge desks run 7 days a week and are very helpful. They will book whatever you need, including arranging ferry/hotel/ferry transport.Take the ATV quad bike tour for a real treat to see Moorea. Resort offers excellent safe snorkeling and kayaking around the lagoons, plus a host of other payable water activities for the more adventurous. The food was great too and the service outstanding. Will go back again. Expensive yes, but leave the budget at home - allow for $300-$400 per day for food and beverages, and for activities such as diving, jet boating etc more. Have fun

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your kind words regarding your visit to the hotel. Your description is perfect... Moorea is both a place where one can relax reading a good book on the beach but also offering a diversity of excellent activities to discover this wholesome island! Hopefully see you again one day. In the meantime take care of yourselves. Sincerely,
