“Could not have been better”
We could not have been any happier with our recent stay at Spring Hill Suites Scranton/Wilkes Barre. The hotel is safe, clean and was conveniently located for our trip. The room was comfortable with all the amenities. The bathroom was impressive and spotless.I highly reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
“New, Clean, Beautiful!”
Great hotel. Beautiful, new, big rooms, free parking and wifi, free continental breakfast! Super clean rooms and common areas. Free coffee and tea at al times! Close to downtown Scranton. Awesome staff. Next time I visit Scranton/Moosic/Wilke Barre I will definitely stay there. Highly recommended!
“Needs a little more "warmth" and humanity?”
This motel is quite new, with normal nice amenities, but somehow lacks grace. Spare style, but unremarkable colors. The door to our room seemed a little out of line with the locks, so it required a little more force to open and close than usual. Very few people stayed the night we were there -- the ones I saw looked like business people. The weight room and swimming pool looked inviting and conveniently located. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices -- scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and plain and blueberry waffles. I didn't see any serving personnel. The buffet was divided off from one end of the large rectangular lobby. The three TV's running during breakfast seemed intrusive. It was hard to have a quiet conversation. I liked the room layout. The closet and bathroom both could benefit from HOOKS for bathrobes, purses, change of clothing, pajamas, laundry. The temperature of the room increased overnight and the air became rather hot and dry. The linens were immaculate. The hair dryer was hung in the closet in a black bag. The view from the windows was not quite what I'd hoped. In mountain area, the view from the lobby is blocked by a privacy wall. Our room looked out over a hill with rocks on the lower portion to contain the soil. Overall, the pieces are there for a gracious motel experience, but the personality of the place seems sterile and a little unpleasant.
