The staff was very nice, except the one checking us in on Sunday. He was ok, professional but not very customer friendly. He told us the t.v.s did not a work, no cable. We didn't have much of a choice but to stay with everything booked or more expensive than we could afford so we stayed. Our room was on the back side in which was home to a lot of people staying there who are in addiction programs which was no big deal to us, they never bothered us, we actually watched the eclipse with some of them, which we had an extra pair of glasses we gave them to share. The bathroom trash can was a 1/4 full of water, dont know why unless there was a leak from the upstairs room. We did notice that the t.v.s were working in some of the rooms of the people that live there so why didnt ours. The desk person on Monday said they were working on transferring to wifi cable or something. We just kind of rolled with it. Other than that the room, bed, beddding, towels looked brand new and was clean We enjoyed our stay just a little high for no t.v. .lobby clean, workers really nice They said they would discount me since no t.v. but I've not seen it.

The plus factors were the room itself was clean and the staff we interacted with were pleasant. As opposed to other Red Roofs we have stayed in there was no refrigerator, no microwave, and the tv worked but had no cable or local channels so was essentially useless. The heater/air conditioner was very noisy when it came on. I wish it would have stayed on to drown all the other noises out. I also didn’t like the fact someone was going around to the other rooms, presuming that some people staying there are in rehab or something similar, and doing a room check at 10pm. It was also unsettling that someone after 10 pm yelled murder and then went to talk about some things with another person outside. Didn’t feel like the best of areas and didn’t like being in the midst of whatever else was going on at the motel.

People make all the difference!
Ashley, the manager, Armani and Jamie were so warm, welcoming, helpful and courteous. I had an issue with trying to change my reservation for one of the rooms and Ashley took care of it. The only negative was that there was no cable TV. The hotel is lucky to have such great employees!

The tv was not hooked up, so there was no tv. We were not informed of this. There was no cold water in the sink - only hot. The AC did not work the first night. The rate was ridiculously high for such a bad experience.

The motel just reopened. No TV!!! Not even basic channels!! The shower spigot did not work. Had to take a bath. The air conditioning would not stay on and made loud clanking noises all night! The neighborhood is all industrial and deserted. Scary. Was the absolute worst 2 nights in a motel ever! The staff was friendly but no9t able to help us with our issues at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND

We got to the property and were told that they didn’t have any water and that they canceled our reservation. They went on to say that they tried to call us and let us know. They also weren’t very helpful in trying to find any other accommodations.

It's a budget hotel so it's about what you would expect for the price. The surrounding area isn't pretty but I didn't feel unsafe. I would have rated it higher but there was fairly large gap between the door and the frame which made it 1) drafty/cold and 2) noisy. If that was fixed I would say it would have been fine for a 1 or 2 night stay

This place was great, just what we needed. I don't understand why some reviews say it's in a rough neighborhood. It's all by itself, just off the Interstate. I suppose some folks need a McDonalds and a Waffle Shop nearby to make them happy. Very close to Miami Valley Hospital and U of Dayton, the places we needed to be, and we had a nice big room that slept 4 comfortably, all for less that $100.

The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The employees were pleasant and helpful. The exterior of the hotel was filthy, there was a small junk yard on one side of the hotel, the parking lot was dirty and full of potholes, and the location was bad. There were no nearby restaurants or retail businesses, and I didn't feel comfortable outside of my room after dark.

Cost effective
Room actually looks like the photo. The outside is not as safe as I would feel happy about. Police came twice that evening. It all worked out. No frills room...no frig...no microwave or coffee pot but it is cost effective.

I could not get any housekeeping service during my seven night stay, even though I requested service 3 times in a row. Night staff said they left notes for house keeping and made manager aware. Beds were comfortable.
