Awesome ranch in an unspoiled valley in WY. Great staff, friendly, accommodating and made you feel at home. Central to our treks to Yellowstone & Tetons.

A Slice of Heaven
First, the property itself is set with the stunning backdrop of the Grand Tetons. The cabins are lovely and spacious with luxury touches in the bedding and bath. All of the cabins are steps from the river and an easy, beautiful drive to either national park if the spirit moves you. The ranch offers a wide array of adventure options as well as the stunning backdrop from which you can sit and read a book. Next, the food is next level from the hearty country breakfasts to the diverse, large portion options for dinner and drinks on the patio is a must. Lastly, and most importantly, every staff member goes out of their way to treat you as part of their family. They ask questions about your trip or you day and make you feel as if you are home. From the owners on down, the staff is top notch and welcoming.

Road south of property was in terrible condition with many ruts and potholes. Meals were good. Mosquitoes were awful. Housekeeping was not up to par. There was no explanation upon booking that there would be a 15 percent gratuity charge for the entire bill upon leaving. Cabin was adequate but small. Cabins were in a long line with parking available only at one end.

Hi Yvonne,Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We take all reviews very seriously and use them to create a better experience and value for our guests. Our guests have two options when arriving at the ranch- they can take a scenic 10 mile paved road straight to the ranch or for our more adventurous guests a shorter, albeit more bumpy, four mile forest service dirt road which tends to create a wonderful opportunity to view wildlife, wild flowers and the beautiful Bridger Teton National Forest. Mosquitos are unfortunately something that comes with being in the gorgeous and remote wilderness that we are in. While they can be annoying, we believe the natural beauty of the ranch makes up for it! We are sorry that our housekeeping refreshes were not up to par for you, we are always striving to improve. Yes, we do suggest a 15% gratuity on the entirety of your stay, this is in your confirmation email, on our website and reiterated to you at check-in. This gratuity is split amongst the entire staff and is the industry standard for ranches. Because it is a suggested gratuity and not required, it is 100% up to our guest’s discretion to decide what to leave. Being a historic guest ranch, we take great pride in our cabins which are on their original structures from the 1930s, with interior restoration and amenity upgrades done in 2014. We offer multiple sizes in cabins and for even larger accommodations we have our newer chalet buildings.Again, thank you for taking the time to write a review and for visiting the ranch this summer.

My husband and I and some friends stayed in this property for 3 nights at the end of our Yellowstone trip. This was our favorite part of the trip. The location is beautiful with views of the Tetons in the distance. The property is quiet and peaceful. Our days were spent horseback riding and fishing. We rented an ATV one day and drove 45 miles into the mountains with the most gorgeous vistas. The staff at the Turpin are all so friendly and ready to please. We felt at home, made some acquaintances and shared stories. The food was excellent for all our meals. We ate onsite as there were not close restaurants nearby but this was fine for us. It was the perfect ending for a perfect getaway. We would definitely return again and recommend to others wishing to see that part of the country. We loved the Turpin Ranch!

Exceptional stay near Grand Teton
We had an excellent 3-night stay at one of the cozy cabins. The staff was super helpful, and the service is impeccable. Food was fantastic, and we didn’t have any bad meals there. As breakfast was included, they made an effort to change up the items daily — chocolate pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon/sausages, country fried steak, potatoes, pastries, etc. Yum! It certainly satisfied my 7-month pregnant belly. My husband loves their drinks, steaks, prime ribs, desserts, and he even had a salad every day, which was certainly a rarity. Our half-day flyfishing tour was epic fun, and we both caught several fish. (I was a first timer fishing.) The ranch will add a 15% service fee to your stay/food total at checkout, and we find it extremely reasonable. The cabin is comfy, good bed and pillows, and WiFi is slow with no TV. We highly recommend it!

Mindy, we sincerely apologize that your expectations of our ranch were not met. For some folks, the quite nature and solitude of a remote Wyoming Guest Ranch can be somewhat intimidating and the lack of cell service and television can also be a bit uncomfortable. We have found over the years, that most of our guests find this feature to be one of the most enduring qualities of Turpin Meadow Ranch. The ability to unplug and engage with friends and family in such a beautiful location has always been a highlight of our guest stays. Yes, we are located on the edge of the Teton Wilderness and at the head of the Buffalo Valley. Because of our special and unique location in the Bridger Teton National Forest, guests do have to endure a 20-minute drive to the Grand Teton and Yellowstone Park entrances and a 40-minute drive along the Grand Teton mountains to get to Jackson Hole. Fortunately, the ability to experience all the amazing wildlife along the way can make the drive an epic adventure both ways. As for the views from Turpin Meadow Ranch, a quick online Google Images search can prepare a guest for what they might experience here. Concerning amenities in our cabins, we have several well thought out styles and layouts. Some are designed for larger families and longer stays. Some are designed to be small and comfortable for those adventuresome guests who don't spend a lot of time in their cabin. Should you have chosen to stay with us, our amazing front desk staff would have graciously accommodated you in finding that perfect cabin best suited for your stay. Typically I am responding to guest reviews from people who have stayed with us. This is, however, the first review from someone who has not stayed with us. We would, in the future love to have you as our guest and share with you all that this amazing place has to offer.

Nature mixed with modern comforts and great food
We can't recommend Turpin ranch highly enough. Helpful friendly staff, comfortable cabin with king bed and beautiful modern shower/bathroom area. Free hot buffet breakfast, and gourmet 3 course dinners for $40 are a bargain and a great convenience after long day of sightseeing. Located 30 minutes from Teton National park, 90 minutes from Yellowstone. Great for families, well cared for horses and riding, and guided tours available. Stayed 4 nights and lived every minute of it, including several amazing sunsets with Grand Teton range in distance. One of the best values in the whole area. We'll be back!

Great time at Turpin Meadow Ranch
We had a great time. We stayed in the chalet, which had a living room and bedroom on the first floor and a loft with two twin beds on the second floor. The ranch is in a beautiful area, the food is very good and the horses are very well taken care of. We had a great time there. The main lodge is very cozy with a small bar and fireplace in addition to the restaurant area.

Peaceful, Beautiful Stay
Cannot say enough about our wonderful experience at Turpin Meadow Ranch. It was even better than expected in terms of the cabin being modern and clean. There was even cream in the fridge for coffee! There is no TV or phone (and no cell service) but great wi-fi which worked great for staying connected with our smartphones and laptops. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the views of the ranch and horses in the corral were amazing. We only stayed for a few nights and didn't have time to ride horses or make the most of the ranch offerings, but just the location was enough for us. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was better than expected. The views were postcard perfect. We dined there and it was one of the BEST I've ever had. And I consider my self a foodie. We went horseback ridding and our wrangler Ellie was awesome. Can't say enough good things about this place. We loved it.

Peace and quiet
A picturesque piece of paradise. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Would recommend that you bring along reading material or cards/games for the evenings as there is nothing to do for night life. Plan to eat dinner there as there is nothing else in the area -- very nice meal, but quite pricey. Very romantic setting, but the two twin beds pushed together to make a king didn't really work out very well, so keep that in mind! Gorgeous piece of property and very well maintained though!

A gem
Want a fancy hotel? Go elsewhere. Convenience, too, is a matter of perspective. I personally like being convenient to national forests and parks surrounding me, fly fishing just outside my cabin door, vast wildlife, incredible scenery… My stay at Turpin Meadows was most enjoyable and happy. The hosts were so gracious, the facilities were clean, the food was wonderful. I made this trip solo as hubby had to work. No problem. I would not hesitate to recommend Turpin Meadows.

staging ground
We used this ranch as a staging ground for touring the Tetons. We did not use the services( fishing, horseback ,ect ) offered. - This is a quiet location ,at the end of a 10 mile road. Fields, woods, river all at located at ranch site. Staff is friendly, helpful, youthful. No complaints wth staff. If you came for hiking, fishing they will loan you bear spray to carry(Teton Park site recommends) Cabins-- cabin was clean ,( this is not a modern hotel type facility), warm ( temp at night 32), spacious room, quick shower hot water , comfortable beds , NO phone, TV, internet in room- all located in main lodge . No cell phone reception in cabins. Remember you came here to get away. .Did not eat at ranch- can't review. Positive stay. NOTE: ranch is located at end of paved road. You may think you are lost but keep going on paved road. Also located at end of road is a small park campground ( not close to ranch so no problem). Cattle are free range so watch for cows on road. Good location for fishermen ( wish I had brought my flyrod), middleage to active elderly people. I can't say this would be a place to stay if you have children who want to stay connected via social media. Adolescents & teens might be bored in evening. Depends on individuals. I can easily recommend this location. We stayed 3 nights

Surrounded by pure nature
Some long few miles away from the entrance to the Grand Teton National Park, this ranch was a beautiful and quiet place to stay! We enjoyed it very much, being far away from the next city, totally surrounded by the great scenery and nature there. The small cabins had their own charm, totally great, since we didn´t mind to have no TV or WiFi there (both was available in the lodge) or have a little horse smell. They offer a whole week of fun but we stayed only to visit the National Park and did a horseback ride on the last day. They took nice care of us, breakfast was great and it was a place we absolutely liked to stay.

Really expensive and not comfortable
We stayed a night here in one of their cabins that are sold as 2 bedroom cabins but actually are one bed cabins with 2 beds crammed into the hallway. Beds were very uncomfortable. Bugs everywhere. Shower was broken. Staff were ok though and so was breakfast. However this was the most expensive place we stayed in on our yellowstone trip and also the worst in terms of comfort. way overpriced.

A very special place for lovers of nature, mountains, prairies and relax. Very friendly atmosphere and a truly Far West ranch. The cabins are a good mix between authenticity and comfort. Turpin Meadow Ranch-the real thing!
Turpin Meadow Ranch is reasonably priced and very authentic. Everyone there is warm and welcoming. It iis conveniently located to Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Lake Lodge, where we participated in guided tours and float trips sponsored by the National Parks concessionaires. We participated in a morning horseback ride to a breakfast cookout. The staff was professional and caring, and very good with the children as well as the city slicker adults. Food was good and plentiful, but plain and unimaginative. Accomodations were clean and comfortable, a bit dated, but had the overall feel of summer camp.
