Overall Good Place to Stay for a Weekend Away
Location was beautiful with ocean view and easy access to the beach. Overall the facility was comfortable. We were able to enjoy the indoor swimming pool and the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Bed was comfortable and the unit was clean. We did find one live cockroach (German, not Palmetto bug) upon our arrival but didn’t see any others during our stay. On our last night the fire alarm kept going off over and over again in the opposite building from ours starting around 6pm and still happening until after 11pm. The salt air must have messed with the control panel, or at least that would be my guess. Other than that, it was very quiet on this first weekend of December. We probably will consider staying there again in the future.

They supposedly had thought we only booked til Sunday when obviously booked til Monday. They sent someone to our room without making contact with me first. Thankfully we had just come back from the beach and was just about to leave again when I hear the door just open to my room. All three locks being locked should have told him there was someone inside. Or at least have warranted a knock before an intrusion. Then to top it off when talking with workers we never got so much as an apology. I took the situation very seriously being almost robbed in a past hotel room stay. But they only joked about the situation. Saying "well how's that for a wake up call". Everything else was very nice from the ease of booking to the room and amenities. But we will never stay at this property again.

I really like this property. The pool is a good size and the slide is fun. I didn't like that they make you wear the wrist bands while at pool.

Thanks for your feedback! The outdoor pool and waterslide are always a big hit! Surprisingly, we've had people walk in from the beach trying to use them. We understand that the wristbands can be a bit of a nuisance, but it is the easiest way to identify that the people using the amenities are actually entitled to do so. Thank you for understanding. Sad Such A Good Place Has Went Down Hill
This is our annual stay at A Place At The Beach for over 20 years. We also used to own a unit. our horrible experience and pictures on this vacation. The place was so dirty when we walked in I had to clean it. I just thought that it was the beach and dusty. I thought wrong. My family including me can’t stop coughing or sneezing. Due to all the dust and dirt in every corner. The patio is disgusting. The carpet is ay least 20 years old. I am sure there are flies in it. Moldy shower curtains, no screens on windows, doors off the tracks. I could go on and on. Please see photos attached. I also would like someone to contact me so we can move out of this space. The air conditioner does not work and the front office has no clue how to help me. Please see pictures below.

We are terribly sorry you had this housekeeping issue in 2022. We have since replace the cleaning company we use in the timeshare units, and have had a lot of great feedback this year. We hope that you can return and have a better experience.

Fall Break Fun
My children absolutely loved staying here. They have asked to return again. The pool and waterslide were the highlight of the trip. The resort has a nice setup right on the beach. The staff were extremely nice. The condo was clean upon our arrival. I would have given a perfect rating but I requested a non-smoking unit since I have severe allergies. I have no doubt this was intended to be a non-smoking unit It was obvious prior guests didn't comply. The pillows and bedding smelled of smoke and there was even a cigarette burn in the blanket on the bed. I did bring my own pillow, blanket, and sheets and upped my allergy medication which helped significantly. Because the smoke was deep in the mattress, I still woke up every day with a sore throat, irritated eyes, and a runny nose. Since this was advertised as luxury units, I would also suggest some updates. Outside of this, I was extremely pleased and we had a wonderful vacation.

Check in- so you need a code to enter. Security guard does not want to let you in with the code. Do you know where the code is? It’s on the envelop you get when you check in. Which check-in is at 4, office closes at 5. Thank god I got in at 4:50 because I was given ZERO instructions on how to use the after hours check-in policy. A few hours after we saw a crowd staring at the boxes trying to figure out how to get their keys. Ridiculous. The room- needed a deep clean a decade ago. Soft spots in the floors where clearly the subfloor was rotten. It would be fine if we were paying what the time share folks pay (maybe) but the ridiculous nightly rate, totally catfished by the photos. The TV had all the HDMI cords and etc. unplugged but we put it back together and got it figured out. The property- Prepare to legit walk a mile to the beach. The outdoor pool was freezing but a really nice set up. The indoor pool had so much choline and our party broke out in rashes abs eyes were red/swollen/watery for days. Security- there was a strange teen walking around the premises and he came into the indoor pool when we were there. He was talking to himself and kind of freaked out the children when he crawled out the window instead of using the door but we had a discussion about mental health and moved on. UNTIL the security guard stopped us at night walking back (still smoking her black and mild), telling us how he could be dangerous and we needed to find him… over and over 🙄

Pretty unique layout of the property, large outdoor pool, and an indoor pool also. Would have like the outdoor hot tub to be closer to outdoor pool so I could use it while watching my kids. Water slide was nice, but it only worked for one day during our stay. Also, only one elevator and it is tiny, so tiny, that it is a challenge to bring the luggage cart in it.

This was a PERFECT place to stay for our family. It was right on the beach, the outdoor pool was pristine, the indoor pool and hot tub were our nighttime go-to's, and the room was great! Having two bathrooms was a definite plus and the washer/dryer combo allowed me to come home with no laundry to do!! We also enjoyed playing on the new tennis courts, putt putt, shuffleboard, and corn hole! When we go back to Atlantic this will definitely be where we stay!

Our condo had power issues. We made the property aware of this and they took a look but never told us of their finding until about 8:40 pm when we lost power again. We only had power in the kitchen in our 2 bedroom condo. When we reported again that we had issues they acknowledge that our unit had limited power and not to turn on any un-needed lights! They did provide another unit to us at 9pm. My problem is that they knew we would have issues and should have moved us to another unit proactively instead of waiting for us to have another issue and I having to ask to be moved. So of our 2 day stay, we did not have a unit with Wifi, TV or lights as expected. Very poor experience to say the least. Never again will I stay here.

I liked the close access to the beach and I liked the outside décor of the waterfall and fire pit. I also like the playground that was provided for the kids and the basketball, tennis court and miniature gold that was available for the guests as well. My only complaint is that the laundry room is downstairs on the first floor. Because I was on the second floor I didn't find it until my last night there as no one told me where to find it.

Do not recommend. Customer service was poor and not attentive. Especially, if you are checking in late. No on-site management or front desk after 8PM. Gate attendents rude and over the top. Floors/walls extremely weak. Can hear every foot step made by other guests. Roaches in the units! Checked in late and roaches were all over the kitchen sink. Worst experience I ever had on Atlantic Beach. Born and raised in the County and this place is sub-standard. Made my visit home a nightmare.

Indoor pool was nice. Rained everyday of theFaucet in the kitchen sink needed tightening. Found long, black hair on the sheets in the master bedroom. Blankets provided were thin. One blanket didn't look washed. It had crusty white stuff on it. Kids spilled dry cereal on the floor, no broom or vacuum in the condo.

Great outdoor amenities. Room lay-out and fully equipped kitchen was great. The carpeting should be updated and the (lumpy) king size bed needs to be replaced. The signage for finding your room should be improved; overall, however, I'm very satisfied with my visit.
