QuietPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Small refrigerator. The price was right.
Cons: The hotel is old and needs to be updated, but it was okay for a cheap hotel.
Location: Fairly close to New Bern, where there is a lot to do and see. Not too far to the beach.
The price was right and accommodations were okay for 1 night. We were pleasantly surprised that it was quiet at night and we were able to get a good night's sleep. We liked the fact that the nonsmoking rooms on the 1st floor were separated by a glass door which helped to keep it quieter on that end of the hall.

Great for the moneyPosted Jul 20, 2015
Location: Less than 5 minutes recreation department where ball tournament was. Less than 1 mile to Food Lion and movie theater. About 30 minutes to beach.
We were in town for a baseball tournament and were able to get a great price on this room. For the money, you couldn't beat it. Beds were comfy, A/C worked great, and room and pool were both clean. This hotel is for people on a tight budget though so if you're looking for somewhere really nice and luxurious, you should go somewhere else. It worked perfect for us and what we needed.

Decent basic hotel for the moneyPosted Jul 6, 2015
For the cost, very reasonable. Outside could be a bit cleaner but room was clean & comfortable. There on a busy holiday weekend & even with full capacity, the noise if coming/going was OK. Quiet by 9 pm. Great friendly staff.

Bugs!Posted Jun 30, 2015
There were bugs everywhere. In the fridge, on the sink, on all the furniture. I was afraid to sleep there because I was worried about bed bugs. My husband was equally disgusted. The room was run down and dingy, smelled, and there were cigarette burns in the bedspread. I wouldn't walk around without shoes on because the carpet was gross. I mentioned the bugs to the front desk and she simply told me that they "just got sprayed for bugs." Highly disappointed, I wouldn't stay here if I were you.

Comfy beds and buffet style breakfastPosted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was simple, buffet style, just what we wanted. There is a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The hotel has plenty of parking.
Cons: Some updating, maybe, but we liked the low price.
Location: 30 mins from gorgeous beaches. 15 mins from Walmart for supplies. . Fort Macon. Historical Beaufort.
Great place to stay if you need somewhere to lay your head, eat breakfast then visit the beach and surrounding area. Everything was clean in our room, and we had plenty of clean towels. The staff were super nice and courteous. The pool looked nice, small, but well kept. The hotel is older, but if you want great value that is the place to stay. We had a non smoking room, and it did not smell smokey. We would stay there again.
