Nice building, good restaurant, but if you want really rest at night don't get a room closed to the street.

Like Mary Poppins(almost)perfect in every way

Pros: See above, everything
Cons: Cannot think of a thing
Location: On the main square so close to superb handcraft museum and shop, other shops and great restaurants. One focussed on food of Morelia was excellent.
Only complaint, the TV did not work but we were recompensed financially. Great hotel. Beautiful décor. Super location. Good food. Excellent service. I read a review that complained about the creaking wood floors. Of course they creak, so do my bones and they are not near as old or beautiful as the hotels :)

Unforgetable Colonial Experience

Posted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: Beautiful Colonial Decor
Cons: Improved Wi-Fi coverage. Due to the Cantera wall, signal penetration within the room was limited.
Location: Located in Cental Historical area, all the main museum, incredible Churches and Colonial streets and walkways.
The Hotel had an incredible colonial decor. From the exterior walls of Cantera, the stain glass lobby ceiling, wooden floors and incredible Colonial furniture all transported you to an other era of hospitality. The balcony views overlooking the main plaza and Cathedral were incredible, we were fortunate to visit during a Music Festival and enjoyed several concerts from our room. Located in the Central Historical area or Morelia allowed us to take advantage of all the local sites which were all walking distance. I am looking to visit again.

Old World Charm

Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Hotel continues its charm and high service levels. It is a little old fashioned in its approach and may prove a little stodgy to younger travelers.
Cons: Business center was inadequate for today's needs.
Location: Centrally located to the downtown area.
This was my second stay in five years. It remains the standard for Colonial, historic hotels. The staff goes out of their way to anticipate needs. The main reception office strived to meet all needs and answer all questions. Be prepared that all members of the staff are not bilingual. Knowing some Spanish will enhance your experience.

Central Morelia's best upscale hotel!

Posted Apr 14, 2010
The hotel was extremely well located in the center of Morelia, close to everything. The room and bathroom were huge and well maintained. The staff was courteous and polite throughout. We felt like we were on a cruise as they remembered your name and/or room number. Security in the hotel was a bit too much, but it did make us feel safer nonetheless.
