Room cleaninessPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Good price and handy for parking near our room.
Location: Great location with lots of businesses around.
Room seemed to be clean......but then there was a medium size roach crawling around.

Tolerable for the price and conveniencePosted Aug 4, 2012
Pros: Right next to the job site
Cons: Can be noisy (close to train tracks) and cleaning was inconsistent
Location: Very convenient.
Had to change rooms twice, and would have changed room a third time if I had not been so tired. First room: in room fridge not working. Second room: looked clean, but horrible smell. Third room: a/c not working well and fridge smelled horrible. On the other hand, free wifi and a comfortable bed and hot shower, so pretty good value for the price.

No TV remote in the room. Other than that, no complaints.

Great placePosted Aug 14, 2011
This is a great base for you discovery of the swampy area west of New Orleans. It is along the high way and you are given good value for your money. The wifi was fast and the missing batteries for the remote were given on the spot. Very friendly girl at the desk, we were given an exceptional welcome to a lovely place and will definitely stay here again.

LOUD NOISE ALL NIGHT! Plantation Inn just west of Morgan City, out of city.Posted Mar 3, 2010
The room was what we expected for the price. No complaints there. HOWEVER, we didn't notice the train tracks just in back of the motel and 4 freight trains passed by during the time we should have been sleeping. A nearby RR-crossing kept those engineers on the horn. "BOOO-WHAAA!!!" But that's not all. At 4:30 AM a waste collection truck visited a line-up of four big box dumpsters in the adjacent parking lot, picking them up one at a time and proudly banging them each until there couldn't have been even a gum wrapper remaining. That's still not all. The desk clerk had cleverly put the only half-dozen room renters in a small group of rooms near each other. My wife & I seemed to be the only ones who actually wanted sleep. All night the patrons on either side of our room pounded on each others' doors, demanding to be let in and yelling loud profanities. Needless to say, we slept very little that night. Be fore-warned. If the rowdies don't get you, there's the dumpsters and if they put you on the other side of the motel from those, there's always that great all-night "train ride".
