reasonable priced hotel in Morgantown wv

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Cons: Everything need to be updated and improved!
We decided to stay at this hotel over another one because I was told it had an indoor pool. When we got there and we was checking in there was a sign posted "pool closed for renovations". They need to tell the booking company these kind of details. The hotel was ok, needs to be updated. The bathroom was "very" small.

We had a pleasant, comfortable room. Quiet, spacious with a comfortable bed with good pillows. Hotel could use a bit of renewal, paint etc. I understand that this is in the works. I'd stay there again.

Ice machine broken on both floors. Good complimentary breakfast . Second night stay a little too noisy, a lot of banging doors.

Best Western-Morgantown

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Very convenient to restaurants and WVU Coliseum.
Cons: The designated smoking areas need serious improvement. The parking lot needs improved. The rooms need updated.
Location: WVU Coliseum is within walking distance. Texas Roadhouse and CVS Pharmacy is walkng distance. Five minute drive to movie theatre and restaurants.
The hotel room is very dated and has an extremly small bathroom. The bathroom door would not open all the way due to the shower curtain rod. The beds are very hard and the sheets did not smell fresh. I stayed for four days and only had fresh towels and trash removed one time. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 9:45 pm, the last night of my stay to service the room. I declined due to packing and getting ready for bed. The rooms are non-smoking, which is wonderful, but at every entry into the hotel there is a designated smoking area. I did not appreciate walking through several people smoking in order to enter the hotel. Parking is extremly tight and several people took two parking spots, which left some of us parking at the nearest gas station.

I spent the extra $10 to stay here instead of one right down the road because it had a pool, but the pump was out in it. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it didn't feel like a great stay.

Location: Location conevient for my purpose
The breakfast was nothing special. The biscuits were hard and stale. The food selection was nothing special, but acceptable.

Avoid

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: The staff at the desk were helpful.
Cons: There needs to be a deep clean of the entire hotel to remove mildew. And an update for things such as beds and chairs.
Location: Good location
Every step of the way to our room got worse. The initial room smelled as though wet sheets had been tucked under a bed for a month. We were moved across the hall after finding that there was no indication of cleaning having been done. the new room had the same smell, but to a much lesser degree that was manageable. The beds were far too hard, my body has hurt for several days now as a result. Very sad hotel.

Great help!!

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful!! They went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.
Location: Not a bad location if going to a Mountaineer game!!
Staying on a football weekend, the price for this hotel was definitely overpriced. However, I think I have only encountered 1-2 other hotel staffs that were as helpful and went out of their way to see that my stay went flawlessly!!
