Good base for touring Northumberland.Posted May 22, 2011 on Hotels.com
Spacious room with views. Good menu choice at breakfast including option of Craster kippers. Bed and breakfast is good value. Staff attentive and helpful. We stayed on a Monday, the only night that the (Italian) restuarant was closed but enjoyed fish and chips in Seahouses instead.

Lovely hotel and great service despite the weatherPosted Dec 2, 2010 on Hotels.com
We had a lovely stay at the Coquetvale Hotel despite the massive snowfall the service was fantastic and friendly, the room very warm, comfy and clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good and reasonable with breakfast the following day equally delicious. We would definately recommend this hotel and stay again if in the area.

Coquetvale Hotel, Rothbury.Posted Oct 25, 2010 on Hotels.com
Very good all round. The only adverse comment I have is that the lighting in the room was rather dim - not very good for reading.

A great find!Posted Feb 25, 2010
Great old hotel with quite grand rooms and spacious ensuite facilities. Pleasant staff, comfy beds, nice decor. Good value for money and a lovely breakfast was included. The hotel has a superb Italian restaurant that offers a range of local specialities. You can get three courses for a tenner and the food is great! The hotel is well situated for trips into the Northumberland national park, Alnwick and the Heritage coast.
