Good basic hotel at a great pricePosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: The staff was very courteous and the room was comfortable in just about every way. Coffee and Tea in the room with fridge and microwave.
Cons: The air conditioner's drainage system The drive to the hotel needs to be marked more clearly by placing the sign closer to the road.
Location: There were plenty of places to eat just one exit EAST on I-40 from this place as well as a few around the hotel. Decent scenery and not too crowded.
Pros: The hotel staff were great! Room service asked about the room in person, the breakfast was tasty and the desk attendant was very pleasant. Room smelled clean, sheets were comfortable as well as the pillows. Room was very spacious as well. Cons: We had two rooms and BOTH air conditioners were not draining properly causing them to freeze up during the night. They both made all kinds of popping and clicking noises and the one in our room proceeded to leak water all over the floor underneath the unit itself. You could hear the internal fan smacking against the water puddle inside the unit. It was enough to keep us awake at night until we figured that a warmer room was more conducive to sleeping than a cooler noisy room. We did mention it to the desk attendant but who knows if it will be repaired. The problem seems to be with the conduit system they use to channel water away from the units outside. also the main drive entrance was a little tough to find since it was poorly marked.

Explore Sevier County's back country.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Location provides easy on-off I-40 access, backroads SC-411 to Serierville, US-25 to Dandridge & Douglas Lake. SC-321 to Gatlinberg near by. Good WiFi
Cons: Maintenance is a bit weak. Light fixtures in foyer & dining room need dusted. Pool is small. Hot-tub would have been welcomed.
Location: Western region of Newport vacinity where hotel is located is a bit long in the tooth. Not much in the area to speak of.
Hotel provides a quite respite, Douglas Lake/Pigion Forge/Gatlingberg resort areas within 30-minute drive on well-maintained back roads. Bush's Bean factory on is worth the stop. From 411, take Veteran's Hwy to Dollywood & Pigion Forge to escape the girdlock on SC-417.

Location: Eat at Fox and Hounds
The hotel and rooms was immaculate. The breakfast was pretty much par for the course. Flat screen TV and super comfortable beds. I just wish it was closer to Bristol.

Great spot to stay, in every respect.Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: Courteous and informative desk person
Location: Hard to get to unless you have been there before. Needs a couple signs on the approach.
Have stayed here in the past and will each time I'm in the area. Great facility and is priced competitively. Good breakfast.

Not a bad hotel, but not sure we'd stay again.Posted Apr 11, 2013
Pros: Good pillows
Cons: Hard bed, bad smell in room.
Hotel room had a funny smell. Discovered, what appeared to be, mold or mildew showing from under the wallpaper (Exterior wall). Reported to hotel staff. Ice machine needs cleaning. Black flakes found in ice. We were afraid to use any.

Nice, inexpensive hotelPosted Apr 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was clean & had a nice breakfast. Although obviously outdated, the staff were nice and customer service was good.
