“Hidden gem! Best hotel in Raleigh/Durham!”

My kids and I decided at the last minute to evacuate the Jacksonville area due to Hurricane Irene so I booked a room at the last minute. I was extremely surprised at how easy it was to get to the hotel. It's away from the hustle and bustle of Raleigh yet shopping and eateries where within half a mile drive. Our room was equipped with a kitchenette with full size stainless steel appliances. Our bed was super comfy. I especially liked the down comforter and feathered pillows as it reminded me of my bed at home. Room was extrememly clean. The kids enjoyed having the 42" flat screen tv in the room. The complimentary breakfast went way above my expectations. The omelet station was awesome! We had the pool all to ourselves which was a plus since my 8 and 6 year old tend to be loud when they're having fun. Overall I would say this is by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in. We are planning to stay here again during our next visit to Raleigh!

Family-friendly activities

Definitely check out the Children's Museum in Raleigh. Go during the weekends since the parking garage across the street is free. There is a parking fee on weekdays.

“I can't wait to go back very impressive”

This is my second stay at this hotel, Its very clean and the surrounding is good you feel safe. Very nice breakfast and the staff are very friendly.I recommended it

“Best Hotel near the Airport!”

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left everything was perfect. The hotel and room was very clean and spacious. The kitchen area I did not use due to staying just one night. However, it was equipped with a sink, full size fridge, microwave, 2 burner stove top, and a dishwasher. The bed was extremely comfortable. The best complimentary breakfast was served the next morning. A variety of items were offered, from dry cereal, to eggs & sausage, to muffins, etc. Check out was also quick and easy. I will definitely put the hotel at the top of my list for future visits!!!

Raleigh/Durham Airport area or Morrisville. Close to the airport and not far from places to shop.

“Best kept secret in Raleigh”

Last weekend was my "stay-cation". Grandma watches the kids and I get a hotel in the next town over. I go shopping, eat at grown up restaurants, get my nails done, and a massage. Being a single mom I have a budget but I didn't want to stay in a dump. I almost contemplated staying at home rather than waste $ on something substandard. Well I read the reviews on Hotel Sierra and they were all great. But I kept wondering why it was so cheap. Well I took a chance expecting it to be decent but not as hyped up as the reviews were. Well I am here to say this place is AWESOME!!! I felt like the Downy Bear diving onto the King size pillow top bed. Not the typical hotel bed. The hotel and room were beautifully decorated. The service was excellent. And the continental breakfast was not the usual coffee and pastry. They even had a chef making omelets upon request. Some of my friends stopped by the hotel to visit me. They kept wondering how a cheap skate like me would have splurged on such a nice hotel. There is not much next to the hotel, however this is a newly developed area and more things are soon to come. Sierra is right off the highway so shopping and restaurants are merely minutes away. Right near the airport. Best kept secret in Raleigh. I told the lady at the front desk that this is my official "stay-cation" destination. I will most certainly be back. How about once a month?

Brier Creek is 5 minutes up the road. It has shopping, food and nightlife. It's the next exit off of 540.Nothing is more than 15 minutes away tops.

“AMAZING Bed”

I would go back to this hotel just for the super comfy bed. Trying to find out online what kind of bedding they use. It is AMAZING, best sleep in a long time. The rooms were fantastic with kitchenette and sitting area. I could have stayed for a week and not left the room. Complimentary breakfast was also great.

“Great Experience.”

Excellent Hotel. Very clean. Easy access from the interstate (one exit south on I- 540 from the I-40 / I-540 interchange. Pleasant desk staff. Plenty of parking and nicely appointed rooms. I've stayed at two Hotel Sierra's (NY and NC) both have exceeded the norm.
