Comfortable and clean, not the easiest place to find, but no complaints. An excellent budget option

Authentic Russian Hotel

Posted Apr 9, 2013
Pros: Authentic and some friendly staff
Cons: Difficult to find initially
Location: Good
Authentic Russian hotel. The hotel is difficult to find unless you know that its got no name on it outside and that it is just a double door from the road. Once inside the hotel is on the first floor. Unattractive front of hotel but once inside comfortable and homely. Some staff very nice & helpful some less so. 5 bedrooms with 2 very nice bathrooms to share, both very clean and no problems with sharing. Metro station about 10 mins away. Nice coffee & cake cafes across the road open till late and a 24 hour shop selling alcohol & chocolate also across the road. Cooked breakfast included. TVs and free WiFi in all rooms. We had family room which was 2 connecting rooms and a small dressing room/wardrobe. You can walk to the Kremlin from the hotel it's about 40 min walk through the pedestrianised shopping area. It's about 2 stops on the metro.

This is not a hotel. Is is an apartment with rooms being leased out. You cannot come and go as you please (the owners complain) and the breakfast is very poor
